Biography
Autumnfire is an apiarist, and a lover of bugs of all kinds. With her bright wings and gentle perfumes, she can attract any sort of insect, and loves to watch them move. Fae dragons, to her, are much like bugs -- brightly colored, fast, and misunderstood by most. She sees herself in the dances of the bumblebees, in the high-powered precision hunting of dragonflies, in the obsessive circling of moths around candles.
She provides honey for the clan in collaboration with Ajora, which is used by Cupcake in her baking and Argent in his remedies, to make the ***** easier to swallow. The unique properties of the plants Ajora grows are transferred in part to the honey, which results in a pale liquid with regenerative properties. Because of these properties, she doesn't allow Celia to sell any aboveground, because she doesn't want the pressures of others to overtax her bees.
This highly nutritious honey has resulted in one interesting side effect, though: massive hives. Her lair, slightly offset from Ajora's, is covered roof-to-floor with wild hives, each dripping with honey. The honey itself is enough to keep an insectivore full, but the limited space for the bees to spread necessitates harvesting pupa, which is most of what the various Fae and Veilspun in the clan eat. Not Autumfire, though -- she's more than content eating the honey of her beloved hive.
