Lapis!" Aubin said. "What?" Lapis said."There's a bunch of new scrolls that just came in about Faes having an exalting bonus for 4 days straight!" Aubin exclaimed. "What in the Winds?" Lapis said. Aubin was practically bouncing up and down with her uncontrollable energy as usual. "Let me take a look at this." Lapis said, pushing her scrolls aside that she had all over the tables from her research of the Arcanist. There were some interesting things in there... about Fae origins...
So... Faes have been having an exalting bonus for 4 days straight." Lapis paused, reading from the scroll. "This is entirely unusual. Most breeds only have an exalting bonus for a day, and then they change to a different breed. It's been like that for who knows how long." "I know." Aubin said. "I didn't realize it at first - but then I glanced at it on the second day, and then today, and it was the same! That's impossible! Just imagine the chances of it being a five day streak tomorrow-"
What if the Arcanist is up to something?" Lapis asked. "I've been doing more research than usual and I think that I might have found a pattern. Between Fae breeds and exalting. See, they're smaller, the fastest, maybe they are all warning the others about something. Or... fleeing. Maybe the Windsinger caught something during his visit to the Plaguebringer." "What if the Arcanist is behind it?" Aubin mused, unable to stand still, feet lifting off the ground every single second. Veira was almost there, the Tundra dragon. "We have a Dominance battle between Lightning about a week after Flameforger's Festival." Aubin said. "Does the Stormcatcher know? Who knows what those Gods are up to now... always battling amongst themselves for never-ending dominance..."
Dominance won't end. It never will." Lapis said. "Maybe they're gathering up forces to start another war." "The Beastclans." Lapis realized. "It's the Beastclans changing everything. They were newly formed. It's most likely something to do with them. I don't know what, or who is involved in it-" Viera approached, his wings flapping quickly, landing down, and nuzzling Aubin's snout with her own.
At least they were happy, Lapis thought. Lapis flew over to Glade after watching Aubin and Viera fly away. Maybe she knew something that Lapis didn't...
