Biography

Chazz

Dear diary,

Today I have found something quite unusual. Father always told me about the great beings that rule this planet. Beings that supposedly have these immense powers. He always compared them with deities. And even though he had never seen them before, he was always impressed by how majestic they should be. I could never imagine how one of them are supposed to look like, how could beings on this realm ever be so powerful?

This morning I went out for a stroll. I went out looking for some herbs that always seemed to help for fathers painful back. He is always in such pain when he comes back from working the kings fields. Poor father, I feel bad for him, having to provide for us. If only the king allowed us woman to work outside the farm, it would make life for him so much easier.

It was a beautifull spring morning as everything just started to bloom. It was neither hot nor cold, the weather felt very comforting. Because of the beautiful weather I decided to go uphill where the healing herbs normally grow in larger numbers, even though the walk was much further. As long as I brought enough to help father from his awful back sores, it would all be worth it.

As I took the path to the forrest, I noticed a large bush of healing herbs straight off the path. As I approached the herbs, I noticed a pool of blood behind the bush of herbs. I froze up instantly. There was so much blood there... It almost looked like a bunch of people were killed there on the spot, brutally hammered with something sharp...

Even though I was scared whom or what might have done this, I had to know what happened in order to warn my people. Struck by stupidity and curiosity I decided to follow the trail of blood. The trail went straight into the forest, as I looked up I saw that trees had been fallen down and even broken in half. I stood still and wondered : Was it perhaps some kind of monster I've been following? Nothing human can tear all these trees down like its nothing. This is impossible!

Even though I realized this was nothing like I've ever seen before, I had to know what could've slain all these people and where its hiding, risking my own live for others I decided to follow the trail even further. After a while I stumbled upon a gigantic cave and the blood trail was leading right inside of it. From outside the cave I saw a bright white light coming from inside. Curiosity got the best of me again and I decided to go inside. I noticed the cave was pretty deep and the blood trail was much worse. I started to hesitate as I realized that I've become very close to whom might've done this to the poor people of our land. I began whispering to myself, trying to gain the last bit of courage I had in me....

And so I walked onward... Into a blinding light. I had to squint my eyes for a bit before actually getting used to it. As my eyes were finally getting used to the light, I couldn't believe what I was looking at. Was this one of the deities father always spoke so highly about? Was this... a dragon? I needed a moment to let everything sink in. So everything that father told me weren't just bedtime stories? They weren't just stories people made up? No fairy tales? I couldn't believe what I was looking at before studying the dragon even further.

I was actually dumbfounded for what I had stumbled upon, I simply stared at the dragon without even realizing it was either sleeping or unconscious. After taking a few steps more into the dragons direction I noted a pool of blood laying below the dragon. I tried to take a better look at the dragon but its light was still to blinding for me to take a good look at it. Atfer trying to look at the dragon, I realized that there weren't even human bodies inside the cave. I concluded that it was the dragon that was wounded, and its shining light must be one of its defenses when its wounded to blind its enemies.

Not wanting to disturb the dragon, I decided to go away, hoping it would heal itself on its own. As I turned my back against the dragon ready to walk away, I kicked against a rock. As the rock bounced away the sound of it echoed throughout the whole cave. Hoping the dragon didn't hear a thing I tried walking away again. A few moments later I felt a warm breath in my breathing in my back.

"Stop right there" said voice from behind me. I quickly turned around towards the voice and I noticed that his lights we're dimmed quite significantly, as I could finally see that the dragon indeed was greatly wounded. I took a bow to show my respect towards the dragon. And the dragon showed a small grin towards me. "I can see you have never been in the prescense of a dragon before, it seems that you're shaking from fear, little human." Said the dragon. He pointed towards his wounds "I suppose you're not able to help me with these aswell?" Frozen of fear, I tried to shake my head, but kept my head low instead.

"Why are you scared, human?" He reached out his paw and straigtned my head softly with a simple tip of his claw. "Ah, now I can look at you again. Please answer my question." The dragon smiled without showing his teeth and tended to his wounds again, finally giving me the courage to speak. "I...I...I have never seen dragons before... I thought they were just part of a fairy tale..." The dragon laughed, showing his big teeth this time, reaching out his paw out towards me again as he dragged me towards him. "Sit down" He said. "Let me tell you a story of what happened a long-long time ago"
