"Do not look into his eyes young one. You will find only the nightmares you run from."

Dureath is a seer gifted with his ability by the Lightweaver herself. Though most know him as someone of renown for his 'gift,' Dureath himself considers it a curse and has tried everything in his power to get rid of it and return to 'normal' life so people would stop asking him for their future. He is incredibly down to earth, quick witted and loves a good prank (though no one has been able to sneak something by him yet).

Dureath tends to be the oh so typical cryptic prophetic type not because that's his personality, but because if he was so serious all the time he might go mad from the visions he has on the daily. He also finds it thoroughly entertaining to hear other dragons reactions to them. Despite the fact that he has gotten better at controlling the flow of time to perceive what is 'present' and what is future as time does not flow in any linear fashion for him.

He has precious few friends and most of those were from before the 'gift' was bestowed to him. He was studious, but also well known to be the type to head out on the town for a good night every once in a while.

Dureath was not born blind, nor was he born with glittering illusions dancing off his wings and body. He was born a normal hatchling in the Hewn City, seemingly blessed by the Lightweaver herself with wings that shone brighter than the sun which came dancing through fog each morning to dust his nest with its presence. As a child, he was always curious. He would follow his older siblings around and ask them countless questions, what were they doing? What would they be doing? His siblings laughed at his questions, but never shoed him away.

And so, he continued, he kept asking questions, he grew up and kept digging into questions, looking for more answers. The problem was, as he transitioned his questions from innocent probes to his siblings about the way the world worked to the history of the light flight and imperial dragons that the Lightweaver herself began to feel threatened by his consistent digging into the past. To prevent his endless search she gave him a gift: the ability to see the past and the present as a powerful seer where time was no object.

This was no gift, however. The sadistic prison the god had given him taunted him with glints of a past he so yearned to discover but was always out of reach. Possible futures jumbled together and his own present was often lost to the whispers of timelines that seeped from his veins.
