Unknown did not come to by, they simply were. Maybe from the beginning of time, or maybe starting at the end of it, it is hard to say. It is not when they started though that is the question, but what the became. At first they were nothing but a shadow, trailing behind the dragons of this lair. Then they solidified into something that resembled a dragon, but didn't quite act like it. It was Gatekeeper who they choose to follow, perhaps her steady head and cold calculating ways had something to do with it. For whatever reason though that was who they appeared to.

When Runic offered Gatekeeper an apprenticeship Unknown followed as well. Neither Gatekeeper nor Runic knew if Unknown understood what it meant to be a guard, but after a little while as Unknown grew in strength it was clear this was something they were good at. Unknown presence does make some uncomfortable, but no one made to big of a fuss about it.

It is a fact that Unknown does not speak with a voice that sounds at all like that of a dragons. Their voice is nothing but a whisper and often dips down low beneath the normal range of hearing making it impossible for dragons to fully understand them. Unknown seems to be okay with this though, their voice often fading to unbearable levels during conversations, leaving their audience slightly baffled. Perhaps Unknown does not wish to be known in anything, not even the mere act of speaking.

T recent events seem to have had an odd effect on Unknown. They have been seen pacing fretfully through the night, searching the trees for something that has been lost. If asked what they are doing they will simply respond "I'm looking for their final resting place. It's somewhere here yet not." They refuse to elaborate further on the matter.

Not a single dragon, not even Rona has been able to unweave the mysteries of Unknown. Rona has not actually been able to speak with Unknown as of yet, since the dragon seems to be avoiding them. Several times they've tried to approach Unknown only to have them vanish into a shadow and seemly fade into the dark. It has been an exercise in frustration for Rona who simply wants to ask why Unknown has been so riled lately.

No one aside from Runic and Gatekeeper spend any real time with Unknown and even with them the dragon is distant. They will obey simple order from Runic and discuss light topics with Gatekeeper but that is all. Other than this they are reclusive and shut off from all dragons. When they disappear in the nights it can be very hard to find them, though sometimes if you are able to find were Hollow is resting you will find Unknown pacing nearby. It is an odd fact that dragons like Hollow, Unknown and Mold all seem to end up in the same areas when they wander around by themselves at night. It is a mystery as to what it might mean, a mystery that has yet to be solved.
