Biography
"RIPTIDE! REEF!"
The little nocturne poked his head out of the shallow water. The rest of his tiny body was still submerged and very well camouflaged in the sparkling shallows of the Crystal Pools. He hiccuped and started to wade towards his waiting parents on the pale sandy beach.
Riptide felt his brother bite his tail for support as they both made their way back to shore. Bright pink eyes looked back to Reef and then to the large shadow that was slowing gaining on them. Riptide gave a loud surprised squeak of terror as he begun to splash the water with his wings, alerting his parents.
His mother flapped her wings once for take off and zipped right towards her two children. Before she was able to pluck the two out of danger, she was knocked out of the air by the shadowy giant.
His father, less acrobatic in the air, gave a loud alarm shrill into the air to alert the rest of the clan. His best magic wasn't even enough to make the beast flinch, much less sneeze.
As the giant was upon them, two large ridgeback shadows slammed into the creature to fend it off. The two nocturnes went under the waves as the giants fought and were lost at sea. . . .
