Sold his everything to a sea witch for freedom. She took his voice, and choice in order to be free of his clan and escape from his father and the position he was born to. Through the sea witch, he gained legs and walked on land, but he had lost all form of memories and sense of self. He was found washed ashore by a centaur who taught him how to fight (which he had an affinity for) and tossed him into the Gladiatorial Arenas. Arden won many battles and gained his master many treasures in his lifetime. He made a good slave, as he never spoke and listened well because of the deal he made. Over time, it became more pertinent for him to lose a few matches as well due to some con artistry. Eventually he was set free when the centaur was found to be cheating and he traveled a while. A lot has happened in the time he was away. But the water always called to him. Nowadays, he found a way to reverse the spell cast, but not completely. For hundreds of years he had been a mere shell of who he once was before making the deal with the sea witch, however even now there is residual of the spell on him. Arden is still as quiet as ever, and still finds it hard to say no when things are asked of him. Now, back in his original Siren form, he has a bit more freedom than having none at all, even if what he is capable of is meager compared to normal. |
