Arkayus is the temperamental, military prince of the lair.
Blue blood flows thick in his veins, but he's never considered a discreet, comfortable life. He belongs on the battlefield, out protecting who and what he loves. He is a transparent dragon, a look into his eyes will show you joy, love, sadness, or whatever the capricious dragon might be feeling. The only exception to this is his anger.
Ordinarily, Arkayus is a loud, quick to laughter, well liked and very helpful dragon. When angry, all of these qualities fall away and his fury spreads like a raging plague in his blood and who- or whatever has angered him should flee far, far away. However, this constitution is uncommon in Arkayus except when it comes to his charge: hatchlings. As a former Plague dragon, Arkayus still very much believes in survival of the fittest, but he also believes that he must be the strength for hatchlings without a home. In his opinion, hurting a hatchling is the worst crime one can commit. This passion is why he wages his wars and trains his body for combat to the best of his abilities: to protect those who shall inherit the Earth after him. However.. he's not very good with kids. He looks scary and he's very loud and booming, as a result many hatchlings find him a bit... overwhelming. He'll continue to guard them though, even if that means wading through seas of blood to keep them from Beastclan.
It is unlikely he'll ever inherit the crown from his parents. He is a simple mind and does not plot to ever be king, neither does he worry too much about strategy - he's very much driven only be the wish to do what he think is right, not what might be smart.
