Festive Birthday
Being born on a holiday is really the way to go. The first of three to hatch during Greenskeeper Gathering, this young fae was straight away awed at the vibrancy of life surrounding him. Nature was coming into its own for its festival, a riotous cacophony of colors just outside the security of his amber nest.

As soon as he was able, he crept from his nest and escape to the outside. His parents nearly had a heart-attack when they realized he was missing. However, he didn't go far. He was content to linger amid the ipomoea growing up the tree trunk, his blue coloration blending in among the tricolor blue flowers of the vines. Upon seeing his parents, the hatchling gave a happy flash of his headfins and offered them a gooey handful of half-eaten bugs.

When he was missing the vines were the first place his parents looked, and sure enough, there he was, snuggled in among the tendrils and trumpet-shaped flowers. He was called Glory after the flowers.

Drawn to the Sea
Between Nature and the mainland, there is a strait of water that flows at a calm pace. The Gladeveins cascade into this strait at the easternmost end of Nature, dumping out tannin-dark, nutrient-rich water over small waterfalls, and nourishing the coastline of the Everbloom Garden.

It was in the garden that Glory got his first look at a "wild" water dragon. Mind you, this was not his first water dragon: his father was Water, as was the reclusive clan Seer. But neither of them swam. He watched the nightmare dark guardian fish for a bit before it swam east against the current, angling away from Nature and heading for Lightning. He knew he was no guardian, but seeing the water sheen of the dragon's scales, its strength against the ceaseless pull of the current, and knowing how deep the water got out there, woke a strange longing in the little nature dragon. Water was his heritage, and here he was on land, close to, but separated from.

Glory spent the rest of his day picking among the water plants for shells. In the evening he went home and asked his father to teach him to swim. His father agreed. Glory was no natural, but through diligent practice, he became a decent swimmer, a reasonable diver, and was excellent at floating.
