An excellent supplier of magical and dangerous substances, both organic and inorganic, Asteracea makes a small fortune from her stash of rare substances. As an amateur potion maker herself and the first one in the clan, she is forced to experiment her mixtures, recording all successful instances. Unfortunately, due to being exposed to the toxic fumes of her cauldron, her scales have mutated into rock hard opal. However, it does not affect her movement in any way, as of now. Because of its aesthetic appeal, a few members of the clan have approached her, asking to be exposed to the fumes, but Astera has always refused, unsure of the side effects and afraid that they might be harmed. She is currently documenting the mysterious appearance of the 'Opal' that has appeared on her scales, and on other dragons in Sorneith's lands.

Specialising in collecting dragon tears and other magical substances difficult to acquire , Astera has a tricky job, but sets herself to the task quite willingly.
