Biography

He's growing up faster than Ezikiel would like.
Feels like he just ended his period as a hatchling, but is still childish. He might've gotten some of that spree nature from Ezikiel, but they're still very different. Draupnir prefers to observe in most situations, and might be mistaken for shy due to his quiet nature. Ezikiel knows not to be fooled though, Draupnir hears more than what's good for him.
There's also the ongoing joke that Draupnir used to call Galdur "dad," which serves as endless amusement.. And embarrassment for Ezikiel. Sometimes the younger spiral might ask "what's dad up to today?" and Ezikiel will answer before thinking twice, thus ending up even more embarrassed.
Galdur doesn't mind, and usually refers to Ezikiel as "Pa" in Draupnir's company.
Leader change and lair movement
His first home was a cave-like structure, away from the square that had yet to turn populated. The old sturdy buildings still stood silently then, waiting to be restored once more.
Ezikiel and Galdur didn't make much fuss over where to stay or .. whether they would stay in a den together, it was pretty much a done deal right away. "And you trust her enough to continue your scribely duties?" Galdur asked, narrowing his eyes at Ezikiel. He put his tome in the leather holder, preparing for departure. A reassuring smile followed. "Don't worry, nothing drastic will happen, I'm just there to write, and perhaps offer some advice. We don't know how bad it'll be yet, perhaps we're overreacting?" He trails off at the harsh look on Galdur's face. "Now, now beloved, don't look so contrite," he grins, and nuzzles his head comfortingly. "If anything happens I'm sure to leave," he nods, and Galdur nods as well. Draupnir was still fairly young at the time, but understood their worry nonetheless. "We'll see you later Pa?" He asks. Ezikiel nods reassuringly. "Of course! And take the time to look around, who knows what wonders we can make of this place?" With a last little wave, he flies out of the cave. Galdur shakes his head, and begins moving their things in properly. There's much to be done around their lair, better make the best of it.
Childhood
Adopted from hatchery, hand picked due to the ever increasing family of the clan. The clan cannot grow if everyone is related.
Named after the norse ring; Draupnir, said to duplicate itself into equally sized golden rings, brining fortune, growth and wealth.
Adopted by Ezikiel. Ezikiel finds him a little quiet at times but he absolutely adores the little guy.
Draupnir didn't take long to call him Pa, something that almost gave the scribe a heart attack. He might've just flown straight to Galdur with the news, holding up his adoptive son as a trophy, repeatedly yelling "HE CALLED ME PA! I AM A PA DID YOU HEAR THAT!" Rest assured Galdur will never hear the end of it. |
