Calypso was found freezing to death and trapped in an icy lake by Lucinda. She was brought back to recover, biting and scratching those that were aiding her, eventually being subdued and placed near a warm fire under a watchful eye. Too young to leave the safety and warmth of the Lair, she was forced to remain with Lucinda's Clan, who while curious at first soon treated her as one of their own. Even as she grew older she remained somewhat hostile to the Clan, refusing their offer to become part of their family, and at times running away. She would often end up lost and in strange lands she didn't know, hungry and cold. Lucinda would always find her, knowing the land well, and offer her food and a warm fire back home, to which Calypso would reluctantly accept.
Since then, she has chose to remain with the Clan, while still refusing to be a part of them, ad Lucinda simply smiles softly at her.
