After finding two young Pearlcatcher hatchlings deep within the forest that is the clan's home, Quara decided to take them in. At first, having two free spirited energetic hatchlings tearing around his lair and library, using stacks of books as launch pads and important scrolls as nests, was quite a change from the quiet life he was used to. However he saw the potential in them,and became quite attached.

Quara joined the clan when it was nothing more than a small group of individuals trying to find a place to call home. Since then he has been a close friend of the clan's creators
