My parents met a long time ago when they were young. I was their only child together. A year later they broke apart, and went their separate ways. I followed my father to another Arcane clan, where he found love with another dragon. I was there when my sister was born. Although I was jealous of the attention my father bestowed on her, I loved my sister with all my heart. We spent most of our time together, until Father left to join the Arcanist. Heartbroken, my sister Rosaline soon followed him. Rosaline's mother never became like a mother to me, so I was all alone. In my adolescence, I searched for my mother. I finally found her in a Light clan. While I was away, she had found another love. Her second love had also been exalted, and her other children had left home. Although by then I was grown up myself, we stayed together for years. Finally my mother urged me to find my own life in another clan. I followed her advice, although we still keep in touch.

During my journey to find my own clan, I met Oswold. He was sincere, honest, and kind. Really, he was the kindest dragon I've ever met. I had my first three children with him: Walda, who became the leader of a Light clan, Bubblegum, who joined the Arcanist at the observatory, and Delicia, who joined a Wind clan. Alas, the Plaguebringer had her mark on my first lover's heart. He soon left me to join her. I wandered farther across Sornieth. I met Crystalfang in Wind territory. He was dashing, charming, and handsome. But his heart was not true. After less than a year he left me with three new children and flew away. Within a month of their birth, my children all left for the deities. I was heartbroken. I hadn't found a home, I hadn't found a partner, and many of those I loved had been exalted. Although I knew that exaltation is the greatest honor, I couldn't help despairing that so many that I love had joined the deities. I had grown old.

Although I saw no hope of love for me, I delighted in hatchlings. I delighted in books. I delighted in astronomy. Although I was old, I knew I had some life left in me. I settled down with the Dragons of the Amethyst Scale. I took care of their books and trained their hatchlings. VanillaBean recorded the lore of the clan, and I catalogued and cared for the books. Some of the tomes I cared for were magical, and a bit of Arcane magic has rubbed off on me, covering me in pink and purple sparkles. I suppose there are much worse side effects, and the sparkle doesn't come of on the books. With my love of knowledge and endless curiosity, my nickname became "Queen of Arcane." Someone found me a crown, and I still wear it. By then I had given up on finding a permanent mate, but it was then that I met Andvari. He was Arcane, through and through, with a sparkling coat and bright pink eyes. He was working on a guide to the Starfall Isles. When he came across the clan, he was interested in our library. I met Andvari when he came searching for information. We hit it off right away. We were both past our prime, but still took delight in the world. We shared a love of hatchlings. He continued his research, but every month or so he would stop by and visit. Miraculously, I found love again with Andvari. Now he lives with me on Amethyst Mountain. Although I spent most of my life losing family, it has been a constant part of my life. I still keep in touch with my mother and those of my children who were not exalted, and my clan has become a part of my family too.
