Most dragons see spirits as being flexible in nature. After all, they can change their shape, inhabit different objects, and exist in different forms and states. This peach tree spirit is the opposite of that stereotype, however. He is quite firmly rooted in his beliefs and refuses to compromise or change in any way or for anyone. He considers himself "above" activities that most dragons consider fun; in turn, the majority of his clanmates consider him a prude and make jokes about him being repressed behind his back. He is strict, severe, and demanding, holding everyone to a high standard - especially himself.

His high standards and lack of interest in "debasing" pursuits serve a purpose in furthering his goal - to grow the peaches of immortality. He is quite convinced that they exist and that he is capable of such a feat, so long as he remains pure and resolved in his commitment. He ignores anyone who says the peaches of immortality don't exist and refuses to listen to any arguments contrary to his ambition.
