The pain in his side forces him awake.
That dream, again. It was always the same.
The one of his parents; leaving him behind for their Goddess.

Twisted, Moonglow Thorns in him creak, the Imperial slowly rising.
It was just a dream, but once, it hadn't been. That dream was some long, long lost memory.
"Forget it," he says, but he know that he cannot. That day has always haunted him.
He tries killing the memories, but they only come back stronger;
Each Dragon he slays only calls forth the faces of those from the Past.

The only comfort he gets from it is knowing that they're somewhere grand.
That unlike him, they are exempt from the pain he was feeling;
The pain that grew more with every killing.
The pain that he knew would just keep growing,
'til they day that he will have finally stopped breathing in air.
