Izcili came to the clan of singing blood as a wanderer and occasional trader. Though how such a beautiful dragon might have come to that sort of fate, many speculate, but few know.

During her visits, she formed a friendship with Bard, and it was his stories of glory and madness which drew her to stay with the clan. Though she didn't exactly do it on purpose. More and more she came with the things she had found to sell or offer, and more often for just a bed or food until she was simply recognized as the clan's foremost scavenger.

Though Bard did court her, they never became close. Izcili was always somewhat reclusive and private. Though, she hid for a very long time the love she had for Eideif. He was an older dragon whose heart was well worn and accustomed to heartbreak. But when his mate Zera turned from him in favor of Rodan, who was younger and possessed a great deal of charm, Izcili went to his side to comfort him.

He accepted her, but she could see he did not love her, not like she wanted him to. So she went to Mephita, in the hopes that the Manipulator might make her into something he would find desirable. Something more beautiful that he could love. Izcili asked Mephita to make her into a Ridgeback, and Mephita did so.

Eideif was horrified that she would have done such a thing for just his affections, but he did not want to let her know that. For her to change her very being for him was overwhelming, and he felt that to dismiss her doing so, or her to know how much it disturbed him would be a terrible thing to do to her. Perhaps someday in the far future, he would be able to tell her, but until then, he would simply try and love her and hope that was enough.

But the day came that Izcili did find out, but it had been so long that Eideif couldn't have imagined it was an issue, nor could he be sure just how it was she came to know. He suspected Matricide of suggesting it to her - whether or not she knew it was true would make no difference to the scheming mirror. But when Izcili went to him to ask about it, he could not lie to her.

She fled the clan, heartbroken, feeling that what she had thought was a long and happy union had been only a lie all along. She did not know where she would go, only that she had to leave.
