Otharon was a mistake. That was, at least, the belief of his clan and parents. Born to a tribe of shadow, with the marks and history of a great Necromancer like his ancestors. Even before his hatching, it was decided that this would be his path. It came as a shock when the shadow egg hatched a golden-eyed baby- the mark of a child of light. No one could explain how or why Otharon was born with an allegiance to what should have been his opposite, but that did not spare him from the ridicule and hatred he would endure from his own family. He did not last long within the clan of his birth, and was soon exiled from the Tangled Wood.

Otharon lived his life as a nomad until he was an adult. During his years of isolation, he wandered Sorienth in search of answers that would never come. His own instinct lead him to magic, where he proved to have a natural talent. Although he possesses immense power, he is ashamed of it's light. Despite attempting several times, Otharon would never master necromancy. However, he would grow to learn an art known only as a "false shadow". His magic, though possessing the traits of light, is a pure illusion made to resemble shadow.

His isolation led him to become reclusive, quiet, and skeptical of others. He covers his face to hide the eyes that cause him so much shame, and there are few that have been allowed to see them. Because of this, most people mistake him for a shadow dragon. Although Otharon often keeps to himself, he greatly desires companionship. He is seldom seen without the rest of his combat team, Aphelion.
