Amandriel Therapist | Illusionist

Amandriel was born in the Gladeveins and was immediately drawn to the waterfalls and rivers that flowed through it. Her favorite pasttime was to sit and watch the rainbows that formed in the waves and foam. If she watched long enough, she would see shapes and illusions appear in the water. Little did she know that it was the Tidelord appearing to her, subtly calling her to his domain. As Amandriel grew, she developed the ability to cast illusions and images onto still waters. She used this to delight and entertain the hatchlings of her clan. As she practiced, her ability grew stronger, and eventually she could cast her illusions all around her, even without the presence of water.

Amandriel loved her clan, but the water called to her so strongly, she knew she had to leave. She said goodbye to her clan, and travelled swiftly to The Sea of a Thousand Currents. Her wings were sore and she was exhausted before she finally collapsed on the shore of the inland sea. Panting heavily, she smiled before drifting into a deep sleep. Not long after, the tide started to come in, and as it swept out, it took the sleeping pearlcatcher with it. She was dragged into a whirlpool, and woke up sputtering. Amandriel swam with all her might, but it was useless. She was getting pulled this way and that, and couldn't seem to keep her head above water. "Oh no! I'm going to drown! I wish I could breathe underwater or something!" She thought to herself, tears unseen in the spray of the sea seething around her. Unbeknownst to her, there was a bright blue bogsneak near, and he had an incredible ability. Moori's power kicked in, and granted Amandriel her wish. He swam up to her, and helped her escape the whirlpool. "Come to my clan, and rest up." He said to her, with a sweet smile. Amandriel headed to the Godling Collaborative with Moori and immediately wanted to stay. This was where she belonged.

Amandriel uses her illusions as a unique therapy for stressed or upset dragons. She helps them stay calm, and work through their problems. When Esequiel came to the clan, he was in distress and overworked from his own whirlpool dilemma. Itazura took him straight to Amandriel to help him calm down and relax. The pearlcatcher went right to work, pacifying him with visions of cool, still waters and a beautiful sunrise in a cloudless sky. She started talking to him soothingly, asking him what had happened. He explained about the whirlpool and her eyes opened wide. "I had something like that happen to me." She told him her story, and they soon bonded over their similar experiences. Now Amandriel entertains the hatchlings, and works with her patients while Esequiel is on his treasure hunts. He always brings something pretty back to his mate, and she has amassed quite the collection.
