"Here was peace. She pulled in her horizon like a great fish-net. Pulled it from around the waist of the world and draped it over her shoulder. So much of life in its meshes! She called in her soul to come and see."


 		Sweets is a softhearted guardian dedicated to watching over others, especially those in her clan. Often found in nature caring for smaller creatures within her territory, she is regarded among her clan as the Peacebringer due to her tendency to relax anything in her presence.

This kind guardian prefers nonviolence, but unfortunately can be drawn into fights with inconsolable monsters. Her love and respect for life is not only noble but inspiring to other dragons.

Sweets is an honored clan leader, distinct within the Viridian Labyrinth for her unusual method of leadership. Unlike other leaders who rule by fear, clan members respect and love Sweets. One side effect of such positivity is enabling easier communication and more solutions to issues within their territory.

The beginning of the clan was rocky.

Few members stayed. Dragons would come and go, rest in Sekirite, not remain…
Sweets, fragile as she was, desired to fortify her newly discovered home. She was not a natural leader, nor did she have experience with power. She did what she had to in order to maintain balance and a clan’s way of life. Some of the earliest Sekirite members had hatchlings together, alleviating the steady downward spiral of the population. So did Sweets.

Along with the other clan founder and leader, magic was used to create eggs, children with traits of them both. The seemingly simple solution became a nightmare for the normally warm guardian.

She hated the way her stomach bloated, bearing the weight of the eggs before they protruded from her backside and tumbled into the nest. Disgusting and brutal were words she used to describe her childbearing. One child went to another clan. The others left early in their youth to serve the Gladekeeper, or so they said. Sweets, although dedicated to her clan, was nothing like a mother. She lacked patience, motherly instinct and the ability to bond with hatchlings. Her offspring were driven off, their tiny necks craned backwards as they watched their mother’s image slowly wane and fade as they journeyed away.

The experience left her exhausted. A heatwave of depression left her bounty of kindness for others dry and it eventually ceased to exist. The lust for life Sweets was known for vanished like footprints in the sand... she became unrecognizable. Her very nature was lost in the hardship. Instead of caring for other dragons that came to Sekirite looking for a sanctuary, Sweets needed healing herself.
