Bastardis 
First born of her nest, spawn of the barbaric head of Clan, Rusty, Scabra should be a force to be reckoned with. Instead, she grew up reclusive, quiet, and bitter. Self-trained in the arts of stealth and archery, she is not a dragon to be taunted or messed with, but she lacks in hand-to-hand combat. Were she Huntress' daughter, one would say she would have made her mother proud. Though she is Rusty's child, her egg was not bore by his mate, Huntress, who quickly tried to banish the mirror once learning of her hatching. Rusty, for Scabra's sake, managed to talk Huntress down from pitting her against the wilds outside the clan and watching her lose that battle, and eventually the Nocturne relented, letting Scabra stay within the safety of the Clan walls at a price. Marking the hatchling's cheek with a quick swipe of her claws, and using her to shame her own mate, most avoid her to keep from getting on Huntress' bad side. She does not see much of her father, forbidden from truly interacting with her. She was raised primarily by Sweets, though was later banished from her company as well when she seemed to getting too friendly with her. Rusty has a strictly impersonal relationship with her, and only really serves as her silent protector. He avoids her at all costs, watching her grow and learn from afar but otherwise has cut all contact the moment she was old enough to feed herself. Scabra spends most of her time around the Shade Den and tent of the Void beasts; of the few places she is allowed to go. She covers her face with a mask to cover the scars on her cheek and skulks about the cliffside, keeping her distance from the busyness of the main tents. She has made friends with the plagued dragons behind the gates, but avoids the Void Beasts as much as she can. Ombre, specifically, who has never been seen speaking to her directly but sits and listens patiently to her venting. The two are very close, which has never helped her reputation within the Clan as anything but a bad omen. Rusty "Keep your head down. Do as I say! Keep your head down." Huntress "That is my child? No, I don't know her, she is not mine. She is not mine! She is not my child! Bastardis! She is nothing to me!" |
