Biography

He grew up in a small, but fertile area on the border of the Ashfall Waste, the Windswept Plateau, and the Sea of a Thousand Currents. It was a vibrant place, especially during the festivals, but never so much as during the Wind Flight’s festival, when kites flew in the sky, and paper lanterns hung from the trees, cliffs, and the inside of lairs. He loved it, and always had. But there was always something that had nagged at him, some feeling that something was off, yet he had never known what. Not until she had appeared one day during the festival. A brawl had broken out between two dragons of different flights and, of course, someone had tried to stop it. That was the darker, not-so-wonderful part of festival times. There were always fights, and sometimes dragons died in the larger ones, but there were always peacekeepers to break them up. But then he saw her. The flash of white and crimson red, He heard the screams, and as he looked again she was gone, that white dragon. He was determined to find her, and find her he did, as she was retreating back into the Ashfall waste, white coat and cloak standing out against the black ash. He had confronted her, asking who and what she was, and the Skydancer had replied, telling him of the assassins, and inviting him to join. Naveed had been taken aback, surprised by the offer. He wasn’t sure if he wanted that, to be an assassin, and yet weeks later he found himself back in the waste with the Skydancer, Aurelia, training to become like her.
