TAKAYUKI (隆行): Japanese name meaning "moving to heights."



Brutal and bloodthirsty, he smiles eerily when he's put into battle. While battling, his personality reflects his fighting style. His brutish way of fighting is shown through his battling in the Coliseum and training with others. He has no regard for the environment around him or other dragons that might be in his path. Despite this, he's quite talented in fighting, able to use his talent to not only destroy but to maneuver around the battlefield. He's also very intelligent, being capable of strategic planning and holding some of the highest planning speed with reading the battlefield before him, to the point that some even consider him a genius. Takayuki knows who his enemies and allies are. Cold to his allies, though not to the extent of the friendly fire, but colder and brutal to his enemies. He's also very rude and foul-mouthed, which makes him unpopular with most of his clan mates except for Kazeshini and Zangetsu. These three make up the most brutal fighting force among the clan. All fear when they all get together because they know a destructive battle awaits. He has a soft spot for a young dragoness upon his arrival to this new clan. Sumiye, a feisty young dragon who cares for everything and everyone, even himself. He tries to keep her distance from him but something about her makes him want to be with her all the time. He isn't sure if it is the way her personality lights up a room or the soft voice she has when she sings.


LORE
Kogami's agitation grew as he paced before the check point they had both agreed to meet at. This is taking him much longer than I anticipated. Surely nothing could have gone amiss? This isn't like him. What is he doing out there?
As he stalked back and forth in their tiny encampment, Kogami blew smoke irritatedly from his snout and look out upon the hunting grounds they had chosen. This mission needed to go right and he knew of Takayuki's affiliations with Arenji. It worried him. He never knew what his true motives are and if they are for the better of the clan or his fellowship. If speed was not his goal, perhaps he has his sights set on larger prey? Kogami made up his mind. I need to check on him.

Kogami was more than halfway across the secured lands before he picked up on a fresh trail; minutes later, he spied Takayuki, who stood upon a rocky outcropping, his back to him looking in a certain direction, obviously waiting for him. Hnn... very good. Kogami dropped out of the sky and nodded his head in a slight greeting. "How goes the hunt?"
"Why did you follow me?" Takayuki inquired.
"I did not expect you to take so long," the spymaster freely admitted. "It is not my intention to interrupt your hunt, but your safety is my responsibility."
"I am safe," the dragon replied dismissively. Golden eyes drifted towards the side, then met his tutor's firmly. "I do not need your help."
Kogami suspected that his pupil really had bitten off more than his fangs could manage. Why must he hold himself to such ridiculously high standards? He wondered, already knowing the answer. " I apologize for my intrusion."
Teacher bowed to the student, and Kogami turned back towards their prearranged meeting point; when he glanced over his shoulder for a last look at his pupil, Takayuki was already gone. He's hiding something, but what?

"Kyaaa!" Takayuki's return was met with considerable surprise and a vigorous amount of splashing as Kagome flailed to regain her balance after shooting to her feet in the spring. "Don't sneak up like that!" she gasped, clutching her hands over her heart.
"I was not sneaking."
"My ears aren't as keen as yours, and you're very light on your wings. How did you learn to do that?"
Takayuki's chest puffed slightly at the compliment, but he recalled himself and gestured for her to follow him. "I found a good place; come with me."
"R-really?" Sumiye replied, sloshing to the edge but not before wincing, stopping Takayuki. "Is it far?"
"It is that way," Takayuki replied, pointing. She gingerly gathers herself out of the hot spring and followed slowly behind. Her fatigue was catching up with her quickly and she was falling behind. He stopped, sighed and walked back beside her as she took very slow steps trying not to fall over. Her runes glowed slightly a sign of exhaustion.
You sure you can make it? Could I carry you? Because you are walking to slow for my liking.”
. "Thank you, though I don’t know your name," she blurted, needing him to know how glad she was to see him... in spite of her not really knowing him.
His childish voice carried through the darkness. "What for?"
"For coming back." He stopped walking, and Sumiye nearly bumped into him. "I'm sorry," she mumbled.
"What for?"
She smiled weakly and shook her head, then said, "Without your help, I would be meeting our gods much quicker than I would like."
His face twitched slightly at her mention of the gods but he dismissed, hoping she didn't catch his scowl. But something about this girl caught his eye. Was it her bright personality? Something, but he wasn't sure what it was.
Hmm probably......... Takayuki.”
What?”
Is my name Takayuki and your’s? Since I told you mine it is only fair to know yours.”
Sumiye.”
Hmm .”
What?”
Nothing. I am supposed to be hunting right now for my clan and my sensei is a big suspicious cause I usually don’t take this long.” They soon arrived at a large cave hidden by mossy vines covering the entrance. Blocking the cold air from coming into the cave. She quickly laid down among the most moss ground of the cave and Takayuki quickly went to putting herbal leaves. She soon felt them cooling and a slight numbing effect. She quickly lost her battle to stay awake but he noticed she was quite letting herself go to sleep.
Sleep, I will watch over you until morning and then I will probably get the wrath from my sensei for not completing our mission.”
Hehe sorry about ...that...for messing..up your ...hunt.”He turned to her and gave a slight smile.

No big deal just sleep.”
No sooner had he said the words she was out.
“Heh, she is way too trusting, strange girl.”
For the first time, his mind was not on his spying mission for Arenji but on the safety of this young female.
