Journal Entry #3 I am leaving home. As you may find in my older journals, I have already classified over ninety percent of the The Viridian Labyrinth's plant and insect life. However, my work seems wasted in this clan of dancers and mindless beauties. Sorry. I will try to keep pettiness to a minimum. I have realized my pursuits may be more valued in a Light clan, or even perhaps in Arcane. Anywhere I can find peace and quiet for my work, I will be content. I think I will travel to another clan, or perhaps live on my own. Journal Entry #18 I have found a strange clan that lies in the Scarred Wasteland. I am not sure how I got here, nor if I will be able to make it out. However, they have offered me food and shelter. Their leader is very keen of me. Almost unnervingly so. I shall (hopefully) update my journal at a later date on the outcome of this matter. Journal Entry #20 I have accepted their invitation to join the clan permanently. I am in need of the shelter, food, and protection they provide, and I believe there will be many things to research here in the Scarred Wasteland. I just need to readjust my pursuits. I think this is a fair compromise. I have agreed to help govern the clan as well as keep records of the members and the happenings. Journal Entry #34 I have been watching the stars for some time now. Put simply, I am trash at it. I would rather use my past knowledge for clan matters anyway. Whenever Skull's asks me to read them for him, I do my best, but some of the information is... supplemented, so to speak, with my vast personal wisdom. I've heard rumors from Albatross that others dislike me. I know he is true to me. He is a stalwart companion. He has been in this clan almost as long as Skulls. Journal Entry #57 I have found him! My apprentice! I have never felt such potent magic. He is perfect-- he is powerful. He will bring a great fate to this clan. I forsee it. I will protect him with everything I have. I will treat him as my own child, since I have sworn never to have any. I have asked Albatross to join me in raising him. The look of... was it pride? on his face in that moment was purely amazing. I have done a great deed for this clan. Journal Entry #78 Today marks the beginning of the Greenskeeper Gathering! It reminds me dearly of home. Skulls has requested that I represent the clan to others for this short time, as it is custom for the warrior of each flight to represent the clan during the celebration of their flight. I am honored to do so, though I am quite used to the important business of the clan. In fact, I am a little relieved that I no longer have to report to Skulls for matters of importance before considering them myself. It is even worse when another dragon has responsibility. Danu, as I wrote during the Wavecrest Saturnalia, absolutely loses her head when given responsibilities. She is very mindless, sometimes. It is a good thing she is excellent with a spear. Journal Entry #81 Skulls has asked me to see over the birth of some new hatchlings, the offspring of a beautiful pair of Coatls that has agreed to accompany us for a short time. He must think I am some prophesier. However, I did agree to it on the account that I was able to do more record-keeping on the behalf of the clan. I am interested in the study of dragon coloring. Does living in this environment affect the color of the dragon as it affects the eyes? It would be helpful to study elsewhere, as it is true that any sick Coatl loses their coloring completely. I don't think the couple were disturbed by my presence. In fact, they later thanked me. Having a wise mind in the cave must have put them at ease. The hatchlings born did not seem to have an color differentiation as I had hypothesized. I will need to research further.
