A B O U T
For the power of the blood to awaken from the dormant state inside its host, a trigger known as the hardening must occur. The host must be placed in a deadly situation and lose to the point where their life hangs in the balance at the hands of the enemy. The power will shift inside of them and the host will awaken their latent abilities, enabling to defeat their opponent with ease, however for the awakening to be permenantly, a wound must remain on their body, never to be closed up forcefully or the power of the blood will cease to work. In return, infection nor loss of blood from that particular wound will occur unless the host purposely draws out their own blood for their own use. Carestia sought out a giant bear who had a reputation for tearing down houses and eating the people. They told her she was crazy for going after something so powerful when she didnt even know if she would have enough strength to handle the bears strength when she awakened. Maybe she was crazy - but she wanted to be more powerful than anyone in her whole family - even her whole clan - and after she sliced the bear open from head to toe, she was. Receiving a mauling to her face she wears her scars proudly to show off her might. Much stronger than her brother, she is often refused jobs because of how overboard she tends to go, instead her brother takes her places, she only getting sent in for extreme cases ~ ~
