Tegira was the first born child of Selidra and Togao, along with her sister Selaoi. Tegira saw how harsh the world could be at a young age, as sickness threatened to claim her sister before they had even grown large enough to hunt. Selidra and Togao sent their youngest to the side of the Windsinger to save her life, an event that had a tremendous impact on their firstborn. Tegira heard the song of the Windsinger's entourage, and felt the healing winds that carried Selaoi to her salvation. From that point on, she resolved to learn the songs the wind taught, and to use that knowledge to save others.

Tegira spends her days learning from the birds and other animals of the sky. She uses their calls and chirps in her own dragon song, calling on the same wind magic that the Windsinger creates. She has also taken to learning from the clan healers, gaining knowledge of anatomy and wounds that all healers must have. Her song is not strong enough to mend the wounds gained in battle by the clan warriors, but for now, tending the hatchlings is good enough for her. She will do anything to keep a hatchling sickness from taking another from the clan.

With the birth of her youngest brother, Ioari, Tegira now has her first student. Ioari's song comes naturally, and while he would rather spend the day singing to the plants and animals of the Plateau than learning healing methods, Tegira believes he will one day sing a dragon song as great as the Windsinger's.
