Legends tell of a creature who feeds on fears. Who feeds on the tiny though in the back of your mind that despite all logic, the monster in that story is real, and the type of fear that makes you stay awake after reading a horror novel. It lurks in libraries and theaters anywhere a story may sink deep into the minds and haunt a reader long after reading, or watching, or hearing about it. It feeds off of that delicious fear. It listens to the thoughts that it is, in fact, just a story and stamps them out like a bug. It makes the fear grow and grow so it can feed more and more. It preys on the weak and makes the strong doubt their own strength. It is everywhere.


Tales of Terror
A dusty moth-eaten tome pocked with glowing eyes. It's pretty safe to judge this book by its cover, though it might be a good idea to wait until it's not looking right at you.

Battered Book of Fables

Using deft wings to dart here and there, this magical book just won't let anyone read it.

Book of Urban Legends
Tales of dubious validity. Hatchlings can't seem to get enough of them.

The foreword indicates that these are best told in the dark. The black and white illustrations throughout are crude, sketchy, and haunting. Don't read the one about the neck ribbon.

Tallow Candle
A thick tallow candle to read creepy stories by. Let's hope it doesn't blow out.

A spooky assembly of mysterious floating candles. One must be careful when making sudden movements to avoid being singed.
