He’s felt it since his birth. Its calming voice, soothing touch and angry howls. The call of Nature itself. He was born amidst the turbulent waters of the Sea of thousand currents, in the domain of the Stormcatcher, the rules of the seas, rivers, lakes and rain, but his heart always dwelt amongst the forests above the water. He studied magics long forgotten in the realm of Water dragons, magics about the flora of the water and the earth. Once those resources dried up nothing could hold him back from leaving his homeland and travelling towards his calling. He wandered, paws touching the grass on the ground with reverence. He studied nature with awe, learning from her the necessary skills needed for the role he would take up – the role of a mighty Shaman. No one knows what hides under the bird skull adorned with beads and feathers. He dresses himself in various pieces of similar jewelry made of skulls and feathers as well as various flowers and vines. Many find it disturbing, yet Valhalla sees nothing wrong with it. They are simply gifts of Nature to her children. His connection to water only strengthens his bond to the flora that surrounds him. He listens to the rustlings of leaves of trees, to the songs of flowers in bloom, to the murmurings of weaving vines. He mourns each and every death of both flora and fauna, yet understands the needs for the circle of life to continue. He performs many rituals, rituals both for the dead and alive, rituals that ask for rain, healthy crops, the safe passing of souls or that ward off evil spirits. He is skittish towards others, more inclined to stay in his little nook in the lair and listen to the songs playing around him than to socialize with his fellows. The only one he has truly let into his heart is Saga, his beautiful, beautiful mate. He loves her as much as the Nature he serves and supports her in the studies of her abilities. He finds her powers of Sight fascinating, even if it is a power over an element that can decimate Nature in minutes if set loose upon her. Saga will never do that, never hurt him so. Valhalla loves to cuddle up to Saga’s warmth, the warmth that lets creatures survive during the dark and dangerous nights amidst the foliage and under the stars, safe in the knowledge that this flame will never burn him.
