B I O G R A P H Y

This is a first generation female fae dragon. The name was selected randomly, as it is not named after fictional characters (unlike some of the other dragons that are in this lair). Please note that some of the other dragon's names are based on characters that belong to Leigh Bardugo, Sarah J. Maas, Cassandra Clare, Victoria Aveyard, Tui T. Sutherland, Julie Kagawa, and Maggie Stiefvater, among some others. Last updated: 1/8/20. On 11/29/17 I traded a tri-color scatterscroll for 4 prismatic silks (arm, leg, wing, and tail) and 40,000 treasure in a trade with Sinisterr.

Aubin is seen as the leader of the clan along with Viera. Aubin can be filled to the brim with energy, always seeming to rattle her talons on whatever surfaces are available. Aubin only sits when she has to sleep; otherwise Aubin can be seen hovering in the air, reluctant to even sit on a throne. Aubin isn't the strongest or the fastest or the wisest dragon of the clan, but her alluring voice can stop fights and arguments as quickly as they come.

When other dragons see Aubin flying around, they are often on their best behavior should she come to hover for whatever duration of time is necessary around them - as Aubin also has a sense of who is getting into trouble lately. Aubin and Xavier are mates. Viera doesn't have as much energy as Aubin does, needing to constantly fly in the air to expel it; however, Viera follows Aubin around, seeming to have as much energy as she does. Viera can sit for about the time of an average meeting before needing to stretch her wings; and as this energy has been passed onto their hatchlings, meetings are broken up into smaller pieces to allow for mid-meeting flights.

B I O G R A P H Y

Mid-meeting flights are a tradition that started when one of Aubin's wings nearly upset an entire table of scrolls, even though they were pressed down with leads. Rosemary suggested that they go out flying, as Amber, Wynten, and Darien were also growing restless; their eyes could be seen going around the room, never entirely fixating in one place. The flight lasted for slightly more than an eighth of a meeting's normal time, and when everyone else returned - as Taina and Ambers were growing quite tired from their staying up late, talking. No one was surprised to see that, when everyone had left, Taina and Ambers had switched their seats so that they were right next to each other, talking fervently to try to keep themselves awake.

It is known that Taina and Ambers are inseparable, and no one would dare try to separate the two. This was caused when Taina was a month old and Ambers was two months old, and they snuck out to try to see who could go the farthest to the edge of the lair. Normally Aubin advised them against it, but Taina had realized that when new dragons are born, the lair expands; soon, where they were to go, the lair would be. Naturally, Taina dragged Ambers along - who was sleeping quietly - and soon they were flying away. But then Amber's wing bone snapped against a branch that fell quickly from the sky.

After that, Taina - who had seen other dragons fix broken bones, as it was a common occurrence - quickly set it, and they returned. The next day the two were inseparable, always not wanting to leave the other's side. Everyone else, at first, thought that it was strange, since nothing new had happened the day before that; they assumed it had happened the night before. Taina and Ambers, have never told anyone what actually happened. There is no sign that Taina's wing bone ever broke, or that Taina and Ambers ever got out of where they slept for the night - after Veira carefully examined them. Now, of course, the lair is almost to where the incident happened - Ambers was quite right about it expanding. The lair will keep expanding as new hatchlings are born, raised, and exalted. It is the highest honor to become an exalted dragon, and new hatchlings are always trying to get first in line for training. There are meetings about dragons being exalted; which ones should and which ones should not. Dragons that have familiars at the maximum level cannot be exalted, as they are inseparable from their familiars. Dragons who are exalted can be trained higher than level 4, which is the ordinary level most dragons stop training at and then are exalted. Every dragon who is exalted hopes that they will push the Wind Flight higher on the Dominance board, which contains all of the 11 flights and the Beastclans, and is closely watched every Saturday. Not even Aubin and Viera know where the Dominance board comes from, as it was in the lair even before they were. It seems to have a very mysterious working that no one knows; presumably it is an extremely long equation. Every Saturday, dragons stop their work as they huddle around the board, closely watching it. Near the board is a scroll with every Exalted dragon's name on it, along with the date that they were exalted.

In June of 2018, Aubin switched to letting Rosemary be in charge as she seemed more suited to such a thing than Aubin. Rosemary is more sociable and better at handling discussions, transactions, and several other things so she will be the Clan's leader for a very long time.
