Biography

Emerald: It's so cold outside... *chews thumbnail*
Romeo: *gets triggered*

There is a fine line between love and hate. Romeo can be seen dancing on the border. Even though he's a charming fellow, his taste in female dragons is quite questionable... He flew into the clan trying to win over Vienna over... even after he found out that she was married. After causing commotion with a very angry Geoff, Mulan tended to his injuries and insisted that he should stay and help him find a suitable mate. Should he try to harm or start any more conflicts however, he shall be banished. He replied by saying:

"Ha, banishment! Be merciful, say “death,”
For exile hath more terror in his look,
Much more than death. Do not say “banishment.”"

As you can see, he's not very poetic.

Romeo is sometimes seen with a sweetheart swan following him around. Whenever Nightwing tries to pick it up, it proceeds to honk and take off at 100 mph, leaving a sad and distraught nocturne behind. No one knows why it's here, but rumor has it that Romeo sometimes consults the swan for advice in the middle of the night with the swan sitting in a dark room with 5 candles surrounding it, leaving a soft and creepy vibe in the vicinity. But that's just weird right? Right? Right?

Now that I think about it, consulting a swan for love advice actually explains a lot of things.

He also is sometimes seen seeking out Cosmos for help.

Romeo: Cosmos, so I fell in love with this gorgeous female coatl. I can't stop thinking about her! Could you see if you can find something for me... like something to win her heart?
Cosmos: You've got to stop asking other people for advice man. Courage is important.
Romeo: Yeah, but the last time I went to find a mate, she jumped into the exalt cannon and shot off into the sky.
Cosmos: That's cause she found out that you were stalking her in the middle of the night when she was on the balcony.
Romeo: ...
Cosmos: ...I see that you are persistent. *sigh* Describe her.
Romeo: She's got this really pretty purple plumage and beautiful green circuit markings all over her body. She also likes social gathering and follows her mom all the time. Plus, she's new.
Cosmos: ...dude, that's Vienna's daughter.
Romeo: ...
Cosmos: ...AND she's 13.
Romeo: ...
Cosmos: ...
Romeo: ...
Cosmos: Get some help man.

“Serenity sent you here for counseling right?”

“I don't even see the point of this. What do you want?”

“She told me you hated someone.”

“Yeah well it's Romeo what a sucker why do you even care.”

“Because Aurelius is hosting a party tonight and we want you to play nice.”

“What dares the slave come hither covered with an antic face to fleer and scorn at our
solemnity? Now, by the stock and honor of my kin, to strike him dead I hold it not a sin."

“Tolerate him Tybalt.”

“Dusklight, this is a Montague, our foe, a villain that has hither come in spite to scorn
at our solemnity this night.”

“FOR ARCANIST’S SAKE TOLERATE HIM FOR LIKE ONE EVENING.”

Tybalt paced around the room in the brightly lit room. The rainbow-adorned skydancer
in the front of the room stared him down in her office. The white room, apart from a desk, a couch, and a bowl of sweets, was completely empty, designed in the hopes of keeping fellow dragons calm. Tybalt on the other hand, was not.

“You know the deal. Every month, Goldenstorm and Linky's clan gather together to settle
down, chat, and just to have a good time. This month, we’re hosting it, so you WILL be present.”

“Who had the smart idea of inviting Goldenstorm anyway? They always mess things up.
I mean, remember how they had to drag Aldari away in a straightjacket?”

“She isn’t coming tonight. Romeo, however, is. Dress yourself up Tybalt, and
make an impression. Put away your grudge just for one night. For our clan, Tybalt. For the Arcanist.”

Dusklight, having said this, flew out of the room. Tybalt grabbed the desk, and threw it
at the wall. She won’t understand. She never did.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To be frank, Romeo felt awful. First off, he was rejected by a gorgeous tundra on the way to
the Starfall Isles. Secondly, the sudden shift of temperature hit him hard, and he just got over a fever. Finally, his rose was rotting. How was he going to attract another damsel now? Using his affectionate and charismatic personality? Even though he found himself dashing, others apparently didn’t think so.
The dragons flew over Windstar Bay. A few months ago there was a war between the wind
and arcane deities, and the bay was dubbed Windstar after Arcane was defeated in the final seconds of the conflict. The sun shone over the waves; with the light refracting off the surface, the water seemed to be covered in glitter. Fish danced in and out of the water, and Romeo’s cousin, Benvolio, occasionally dove down and snatched up the jumping buffets.
Romeo didn’t even know how he was related to Benvolio. The coatl, apart from his element
and pattern, didn’t really have a relation with him. Maybe it was something along the lines of being such a good friend that he started to accept him into his family? The skydancer shook his head. It’s been so long. He could barely even recall where they met.
A skydancer shrieked in glee and twirled in the air, almost smacking Romeo out of the air. He
whooped and dove straight down, quickly overtaking Benvolio.
Mercutio.
Apart from Benvolio, Mercutio was the closet friend that any dragon could hope for. A
hatchling in a dragon’s body, he was awfully playful, often asking more than he should, flying faster than he should, and being louder than he should. Extremely flirtatious and smooth, he knew how to win most dragon’s hearts. Romeo, to an extent, was jealous of him. He never was able to point out why he had so much luck with charming the ladies, but whatever Romeo didn’t have, Mercutio had it. Maybe that’s why they were such good friends. They complement each other.
“We’re almost there. Lets make this interesting. Last one to the party zone is a rotten egg!”
As soon as Stormtalon shouted the challenge, the clan of calm and collected dragons
became streaks of color in the sky. The winged bolts plummeted down, whooping and roaring across the sky, with Stormtalon in the lead, followed by Deathseed, Aether, and Wynelle. The drakes zoomed over the bay, occasionally tipping their wings to graze the water, kicking up seaspray in each other’s faces. They whooped and roared, teasing and trash talking fellow clanmates, intent on beating each other to the finish line.
All except Romeo.
He hovered in the air where his fellow dragons once were.
Mercutio and Benvolio, noticing this, twirled away from the racetrack and flew to his side.
“Feeling heavy Romeo?” Benvolio nudged Romeo’s shoulder. “Where’s that old aura
of confidence and pride?”
“I don’t know, I just… Something feels wrong. I don’t know why, but I feel like this isn’t going
to end well. I shouldn’t be here.”
Mercutio laughed.
“I feel something as well. Except it’s the opposite of your…” Mercutio gestured to Romeo’s
entire body with his arms. “…demeanor? I think that’s the right word. We’re going to have a good time! Play some games! Meet some girls! Nothing is going to go wrong Romeo, I’m certain of it.”
“You certainly will have a wonderful time Mercutio. You have always been the life of the
party. Apart from Wifi though. Boy, can that imperial dance!”
Benvolio twirled around trying to imitate her moves. He did a poor job of it.
“I don’t know about Romeo though. It seems like he’s lacking his luster! Did you see that
seafoam tundra just now? She turned him down flat!”
Romeo smiled. “I don’t think that’s my problem Benvolio. I’ve seen you with other beauties.
You just stand there gawking! I’m the one who’s lacking my luster? At least I had one in the first place!”
Benvolio laughed. “That’s the spirit Romeo! Come on now, we’re already late!”
The purple skydancer and the iris coatl turned around and started to dart away.
“Wait up guys.”
Mercutio sighed and turned around. “What now Romeo? Got another haunch? Are you going
to read the stars? Have a vision? That’s Overseer and Cosmos’ job!”
“No, just…”
Romeo slowly caught up to them. He fiddled with the hilt of his sword. On his back, his
contrast rogue cape blew in a wild and erratic fashion.
“Rumors had it that he moved in. Tybalt. He apparently joined Arkana’s clan a couple of
months ago. I personally have never seen him, but others have mentioned his name. Is it true? Is the Capulet really going to be there?”
Benvolio’s expression darkened. “Way to kill the mood Romeo.”
“But is it true?”
Mercutio shrugged. “Lighten up guys. It’s going to be fine. It already has been 3 years!
Besides, we lost contact with each other; I doubt he can even place names on our faces!”
Benvolio half-heartedly smiled. Nearby, their swans hovered and honked nervously in the
heat of the day. “Mercutio’s right. A grudge can’t last for 3 years.”
“HEY HUEY, DEWEY, LOUIE! What are you three doing chilling around here for?”
The three of them turned to the shouting imperial. Godspeed, the wind representative, flew by
and started to do loops around them. One of her wing silks smacked Romeo in the face.
“Get a move on, will ya? You’re late! Party’s started! Let’s GO GO GO!”
Hearing this, Mercutio bolted. “I AIN’T GOING TO BE THE ROTTEN EGG TODAY BOYS!”
Benvolio turned toward Romeo. “How bad can it really be?” The coatl stretched his wings
and chased after Mercutio, leaving only a single dark feather where he once hovered.
For the first time today, Romeo laughed. They’re right! How bad can a party really be?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Arkana expected a casual modest and polite gathering of frozen dragons at her footstep. She
did not expect to see a guardian slamming inches away from her front porch with other dragons raining and diving down from the sky following their queen's example.

The human on the icy guardian stood up and ruffled his hair. Gabriel, beaming like he had no
care in the world, looked up and smiled.

“Are we late?”

Arkana turned to Stormtalon, who was brushing herself off and preening her wings.

“Way to make an impression.”

She smiled. “Oh it was just a bit of fun. Like the human said, are we late?”

“Linky’s clan arrived a couple of minutes ago, so I would say that you’re right on time. Come
on in!”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tybalt looked in the mirror and adjusted his ornate earthen masque. He had no intent in
joining in the festivities, but for another purpose that was dearer to his heart. He beat his feathered wings, and seeing that they stuck, he turned around, picked up another mask, and exited the door.
“Juliet, are you ready?”
“Just a minute!”
Tybalt rolled his eyes. “You said that 10 minutes ago!”
“This time for real! I promise!”
“You ALSO said that 3 times!”
“FINE! I’M DONE!”
The curtains parted, and a fair and angelic skydancer met up with Tybalt in the hall. She
nuzzled Tybalt’s cheek, the smell of exquisite perfume filling the air. If she wasn’t so young, she would pass for a queen. For now, she was a princess.
To Juliet’s surprise, Tybalt pulled away, in a mixture of both disappointment and anger.
“When I said dress plainly, was this what you had in mind?!”
She sighed and ruffled her wings. “Whatever for? You always tell me to look boring during
large gatherings, while you wear that fancy outfit! You even got burnished gold tail cuffs and scarlet sylvan filigree tonight!”
“I’m just trying to protect you! Why don’t you let me?”
“From what?”
Tybalt sighed. She was so stubborn sometimes.
“From them. They’re coming tonight you know.”
Juilet perked up, instantly curious.
“They? Who’s “they”?” She looked at Tybalt, who was groaning after he noticed his mistake.
“Awww… are you jealous? Afraid that one of them might steal my heart?”
“Of course not! I am certainly not jealous. Besides, you’re my cousin. If you’re hinting that I
might fall in love with you may the Arcanist strike me down. Here. Put this on.”
Tybalt stretched out his hand and handed Juliet a regal masque. She picked it up, and
examined it in the light. Running her fingers over it, she realized how expensive it was. Some dragons would die for these types of apparel.
She slipped the masque on, looked in the mirror… and quickly took it off.
“Tybalt, I appreciate your offer, but- ”
Tybalt glared in annoyance. “But what?”
“It might fit you, but for me it certainly looks a bit, um, off. I don’t think that this goes with
what I’m wearing. Maybe for another time, but…”
“Juliet, you will wear that mask. For your safety, not mine. If you do fall for one of them, they
must never see your face. If they knows who you are, you’re done for.”
“Tybalt! First off, don’t shout at me. Secondly, how am I supposed to avoid them when you
don’t even tell me who they are?”
Tybalt growled. “The Montagues. Avoid the iris colored coatl, the lavender skydancer, and- ”
“Let’s go guys! You’re already late!”
Demoxi walked in from the end of the hall and shouted at them.
The cousins looked at each other, then Juliet sighed and slipped on her mask.
“I’ll wear it for you Tybalt, but just this one time. Let’s get going!”
The skydancer bolted down the hall. Behind her, Tybalt started to shout in desperation. He
wasn’t done!
“- AND ROMEO JULIET. AVOID ROMEO!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Some scene this is, huh?”

Benvolio walked through the front gate, followed by Romeo and Mercutio. Arkana truly knew
how to find places for social gatherings. On the other side of the grove of glowing trees, dragons darted this way and that, filling the air with a warm but wild atmosphere. Up in the air, some imperials, skydancers, and spirals played tag in the clouds, dancing through the air gracefully with elegance. To the left, Romeo assumed that it was a center to sit and chat. He spotted Stormtalon, Arkana, Linky, Hymn, Solstice, Serenity, and Genesis talking and basking in the morning sun. There probably were other smaller dragons too, but it was hard to see them under the shadows of the larger drakes.

Lining the plains, there were drinks and refreshments, all for dragons of different sizes. They
all looked pretty nice, but considering how Gilderbrave was hanging around there often, Romeo decided that taking a drink might not be his smartest decision of the day. Confirming his suspicions, Soultap wandered by, took a sip, and then excused himself, his face turning into a slight shade of purple.

Off to the right was clearly where all the action was. Speeding around like winged bullets,
Deathseed and Orifade were engrossed in a furious game of tag. Deathseed, chasing the female mirror, quickly cut her off and tapped her in the head with his wing and took of darting like a golden speedster. In the light, he seemed like he was a glowing ball of flame, roaring around the grassland. Orifade, after skidding to the side, almost instantly picked up the pace and chased after him in fierce determination. To the side, Queen and Syrthio sat and watched the spectacle, occasionally shouting words of encouragement to keep them going.

A few meters away, Wynelle, Solis, and Juliette were having a dance off. Even though the
nocturne and coatl were outclassed in size, their talent made up for it. Doing intricate dips and curls, Wynelle leaped into a fierce war dance in a display of aggressive but fluid elegance. She occasionally threw up daggers, and without slowing down, caught the glittering blades in her maw. Juliette leaned towards more of the plain but regal moves, flying through the skies in a mixture of twists and quick dashes. The nocturne laughed and whooped through the crowd, increasing the energy and excitement from the watchers. Then, there was Solis, dazzling the audience with wild and graceful displays. Her silks flew through the air, and rippled like the waves on the ocean. Wifi shouted and cheered the three competitors on, most likely waiting for her next challenger.

“So, where to?”

Mercutio turned to Romeo and nudged him on the shoulder. The ice-colored skydancer
looked around at the different spectacles before him. So many options! Suddenly, the crowd near the dancers roared in anticipation. Wifi and Morphius had joined in the display.

“How about we check out their performance? I’m curious to see how Wifi will do.”

Benvolio smiled. “Ah yes. Wifi against Morphius. This will truly be a feast for the eyes.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morphius went first. She nodded to All and Star, the duo musicians of Linky’s clan, and as if
they rehearsed it a thousand times, they started to hum a smooth and beautiful song. Morphius then took the stage. Spinning through the air with her snow streak, they twirled in perfect unison, not too fast, not too slow. As the music started to reach it’s peak, she started to spin faster and with more grace than ever before. Swirls of fire started to spark around her wings, soon creating a show of a nocturne and a snow streak darting through puffs of embers. The flickers of flame then grew into an inferno, and following the intensity of the duo’s song, they flew through the roaring fire, two bodies becoming one. And with one final fiery explosion, they both flew out, perfectly unsigned, not one feather or scale lost.
The crowd exploded in applause. How could one upstage such a combination of elegance
and flame?
Benvolio, Mercutio, and Romeo stared in awe at her performance, and as the crowd began to
settle down as Wifi prepared for her act, Romeo spotted a cream-colored skydancer walk by and lie down to come watch the next performance. Entranced by her appearance, he started to move away from his friends, inching closer and closer to the fair newcomer. Just as he got close, dragons of Goldenstorm started chanting Wifi’s name. It was about to begin!
The imperial flew to the center of the crowd and raised her wings. After some brief seconds
of silence, the seemingly leather appendages started to hum with life. Wifi made a clicking noise, and Reaper, previously unseen, flew by and covered the entire audience, performing sector and all, in pitch darkness. Then, in the midst of the black smoke, a beat started to play. Suddenly, her illuminated wings appeared, and on them pixels and digital creatures grew to life on their canvas. The circuit on Wifi’s body glowed bright, and she started to dance. She was quick and flashy, nothing really slow and fluid like Morphius. With perfectly placed twists and twirls, she made a show of herself, proving to everyone that she was more agile and flexible than some might have thought. She spun on her back faster and faster, and through the darkness her wings changed to the color of roses, and where the imperial spun, a large rose was seen spinning into existence. Wifi then leaped into the air, and after soaring above the crowd, she landed, and started to whip herself around, her circuits flashing on and off with the beat playing from her wings. Finally, she beat her huge wings one more time, and the smoke bellowed away. She bowed, and the crowd erupted into clapping.
“May I ask why aren’t you up there dancing?”
Romeo walked over to the cream-colored skydancer. Turning to the sound, she saw the
skydancer smiling at her. Juliet also observed that he had a rose in his mouth. A fine gentleman? Aw, how sweet!
“Well, I don’t know… I’m not that good with dancing. Never really learned.”
“You certainly should try it out someday. You’ve already got the looks. That’s basically
halfway.”
Juliet blushed and turned away. This was no iris coatl, or lavender skydancer. She must be
fine.
“May I?”
Romeo sat down, and attached the rose to her regal masque.
“A rose, to complement your beauty.”
She laughed. The dove that followed the ice colored skydancer perched on her wing. She
knelt down and gently stroked the bird. To her surprise, the bird didn’t fly away. It sat down, and enjoyed this.
“Such a charmer, you. You certainly know how to win a lady’s heart.”
“Really? Tell me about it?” He laughed. It sounded like music, flowing through the air. She
could listen to it for ages. “Most girls would turn me down when I try!”
“Well then those girls certainly have no taste.” Juliet stare into his eyes, and a spark formed,
slowly kindling into a tiny flame. He’s the one, she was sure of it!
Romeo turned to back to his friends. Benvolio and Mercutio were standing there watching
this unfold. Benvolio winked at him, then nudged Mercutio on the shoulder. They then turned away, looking at every direction possible apart from where the two skydancers were. Trying to play innocent, Romeo thought. Such jesters!
Then, out of nowhere, the crowd started cheering! The pair turned towards the sound, and
spotted Solis nudging up a shy Luna into the center of the ring of dragons. Luna blushed, and tried to turn away, but with one final push, she was in the spotlight. The midnight imperial turned around, and nervously nodded towards All and Star. Both skydancers hummed a smooth and peaceful melody, hushing the crowd.
Romeo turned towards the cream skydancer.
“I’ve heard of the sun and moon twins, but I only thought Solis could dance!”
She chuckled. “Well you clearly haven’t seen Luna clearly before. Some of us in Arkana’s
clan even argue that she’s even better than her sister, and have good justification to back it up.”
Luna stood in the sunlight, and calmly drew a wing to cover her face. She then used her other
wing, and turned in a slow circle, the silk flapping in the wind, dancing in the breeze. She gracefully flapped and spun in the sun, slow but fluid, almost as if she was made of water. It was slow, but not one bit less talented than the first two performances.
Juliet felt a light kiss on her cheek. She turned away, startled, at the icy skydancer sitting
next to her.
“Too soon? Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Lips must do what hands do.” He smiled. “Again?”
“Well, maybe not. My cousin forbids it.”
“Who is your cousin?”
“I dare not say. He says it’s to protect me. Just like this mask.” She fiddled with the edges. “It
looks horrible on me, does it?”
“Not in the slightest!” He then reached towards the masque and pulled it off. “But who’s will
do you want to follow? Yours? Or his?”
“A rebel? I like it! I like it a lot!” She chuckled to herself, and tugged his arm. “He might be
watching. Let’s go somewhere else, somewhere where we can be alone together.”
And as the crowd flew into applause, the two skydancers seized the opportunity and took off
to the forest, away from everyone’s eyes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mercutio and Benevolio dove through the foliage. Night had fallen, and even though most of
the forest had gone to sleep, these two were more awake than ever. They had to find Romeo, before it was too late.

“I knew this wasn’t going to end well! How did we lose track of them?”

“I thought you were keeping an eye on him!”

“We pretended to forget their existence, remember? Oh by the name of the Icewarden we are
SO dead.”

“Think of the bright side. Maybe they’re all right. Maybe the beastclans didn’t get to them yet.
Maybe they’re still alive, holding on waiting for us while creatures come to finish them off!”

“NOT HELPING BENVOLIO, NOT HELPING!”

Mercutio was freaking out to say the least. It had been one hour since party ended, and the
three clans divided into search parties to find the two missing skydancers. They were starting to lose hope.

“Any luck?”

Benvolio turned around and sighed. “If I had any I would already have told you. Think
Mercutio think! If you and a female skydancer flew off into a forest, where would you be.”

“Um… at the edge of the forest. The clearing! Try the clearing!”

They took off flying through the trees, and after around 10 minutes, reached the edge. Apart
from the wisps of magic, the rustling of the leaves, and the silence of night, there was nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Suddenly, Benvolio spotted something. At the edge of a faraway cliff, he could make out four
shapes. Two birds, and possibly two dragons. Two skydancers.

“THERE MERCUTIO!”

Benvolio bolted to the cliff, followed by Mercutio.

At the edge of the cliff, two skydancers shared a kiss underneath the stars.

Mercutio whimpered.

“The four of us are so dead.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Romeo turned to the sound, and smiled. Juliet had an entirely different reaction. She
screamed and fell over.
“Get away from them! They’re dangerous!”
Mercutio blinked. After realising that she was pointing to him, he was very, very confused.
“Um… excuse me miss, but have we met before?”
“No, but my cousin has talked all about you two. You two tore apart his entire family!”
“AHEM.” Benvolio cleared this throat. “I’m sorry to interrupt this conversation, but we have
much more serious matters at hand.” He gestured to the girl. “You’re Juliet, correct?”
“Yes- How do you know my name?”
Romeo smiled. “Juliet. So that’s your name. How beautiful.”
Mercutio’s eyes bugged. “ROMEO! YOU’VE MET THIS GIRL FOR 3 HOURS, AND YOU TWO
HAVEN’T SHARED YOUR NAMES YET?! WHAT HAD BECOME OF THIS WORLD!”
The skydancer shrugged. “Well, not really. You see, we had so much to talk about we
obviously forgot! Right Juliet?”
“LADIES AND GENTLEMAN. PLEASE, SHUT YOUR PIEHOLES FOR JUST 5 MINUTES AND
LET ME SPEAK.” The three skydancers turned to Benvolio. “THANK YOU. Now, Juliet, apparently you were wearing a mask before, am I correct?”
Juliet thought about it for a moment. “Yes, why?”
“Tybalt has been flipping his led once he saw the mask on the floor. It got worse when he
discovered that Romeo was gone too.” He then turned to a very surprised and very scared Romeo. “And you sir, you are going to die when Tybalt finds you.”
“Your cousin… he- he’s TYBALT?”
Juliet, realising the severity of this situation, preceded to cough, stumble, and faint on the
floor.
A moment of silence filled the air as the three friends looked at the fainted skydancer, then at
each other. Finally, Mercutio gulped. “Ohmygosh we’re going to die once Tybalt finds out.”
“Yes you have made that apparent 3 times already Mercutio and I don’t need to hear it again.”
“We’re actually going to die.”
Romeo beat his wings, shooting wind in their faces. “Guys, if we want to avoid death, we
probably should take her back home. Preferably with a detour just in case anyone else spots us. We’re not going to get anything done standing around with a ticking time bomb over our heads.”
“Great plan. I’ll go tell Arkana that we found Juliet flying home alone. I’ll also tell them that we
haven’t found you yet to buy you some time. Cheerio!”
And just like that, Benvolio peaced the scene.
Mercutio grumbled. “Romeo, what a great cousin you got there.”
“Shut up Mercutio. Let’s get this done.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tybalt trudged into Juliet’s room. After the long night, she already had woken up and fully
recovered, but Tybalt was not done with her. Not yet. Juliet lay on the ground, and looked up, aware of his presence.

“Juliet! Oh thank goodness you’re awake!” Tybalt walked up to and examined her condition.
“Where did you go last night? I was worried sick for you!”

“Oh yes. Right.” Juliet snapped out of her daydreaming. She offered him a sheepish smile.
“Tybalt, I cannot tell you how glad I am to see you.”

Tybalt smiled, and gave her a flask of medicine. “That’s good. Here, drink this. It’ll give you
your energy back.” Juliet took the flask, and took a sip.

“Thanks Tybalt, you’re a great cousin.”

Tybalt nudged her, and ruffled her mane. “Where did you go last night anyway? I found your
mask just lying there.” His brow furrowed. “You promised me that you would keep it on.”

“Um… it was just too itchy Tybalt. It’s metal, and under the sun, it heats up quickly. It hurt my
face. I’m sorry cousin.”

Juliet stood up and walked around the room. She needed more time! “Well, enough about
me. What about you? How was the party for you?”

Tybalt chuckled. “It was interesting to say the least. I mostly stayed near the side reading.
Played a bit of tag with some hatchlings in the clouds. You would be surprised on how fast and energetic they were. These wings can’t fly me as fast as I used to.” Tybalt beat his wings, accidentally blowing down her closet. “Oops! My bad!” He wandered over, and stood it back up.

A glimmering pink feather fell down on the floor. Tybalt, seeing this, started to reach down.
“Juliet, who’s this from?”

Juliet quickly bent down and snatched it up. She hid it under her dress. “Oh! Nothing!
Nothing at all!” She nervously smiled. “Anyways, last night, I was… Right! I just felt like the party was a bit too wild so I decided to head home.”

“Really? Watching the dances and playing tag was a bit too much? I thought you liked to
watch dances!”

“Well yes, but… I wasn’t really in the right mood, if you know what I mean. Plus, it was a bit
too loud.”

“Interesting. So, did you meet anyone special at the party? You must have been really bored
then once you got there.”

“No, not really. Yeah, I was bored. That was also another reason why I went home. None of
the other dragons seemed fun to mingle with.”

“Maybe you didn’t try hard enough! There were some really nice drakes at the party. I found
Eos and Nyx to be very nice dragons. Very mysterious, but they know about a lot of things. I think you would have liked them.”

“Eh… I guess. Maybe later.” Juliet inched towards the doorway. “I’m a bit hungry from
sleeping early from last night. I’ll go get a bite to eat.” She started to walk out the door.

“Say Juliet, you wouldn’t have met any of the Montagues there did you? You know, Benvolio,
Mercutio, and hm…who else… right! Romeo? I forgot to tell you what he looked like. Ice petals? Pink facet? Usually carries a sword? Peace dove? Did you see the three of them at the party?”

“Nope! Didn’t see a single one! Even if I did, I would have avoided them. They don’t sound
like nice people judging from how you talked about them. Besides, those names are weird. They must have meant trouble.” Juliet turned around and quickly rushed out of the room. “I’ll be downstairs. See you around!”

Tybalt stood up, and walked out of her room. Down the hallway, he entered his own living
space, and sat down on his bed. Nearby, on the bedside cabinet, sat a regal masque. A rose was attached to the side. Tybalt, intrigued, reached over and picked up the rose. He looked at it, twirling it between his fingers. He then crushed it with in his first. Who was she really with?

At the base of the crystalspine peaks, Benvolio and Romeo gazed up into the sky, trying to
set their eyes at summet of one of the mountains.

“Are you sure she told you to do this?” Benvolio looked around nervously. “If Tybalt sees us,
we’re both dead. Well, you’re already dead. He’s just going to stomp on your grave. If he hasn’t done that already, that is.”

“Benvolio, the lady made me promise to meet her at the peak, and I must fulfil it. Juliet is up
there, and I must go see her. Protect me Benvolio, I'm going up.”

Benvolio grumbled. “This isn't going to end well, is it?”

Romeo let out a hearty chuckle. “What are you talking about, this is a great plan! We're just
two certain families who want to come together! It isn't that bad. Right?”

“Those two certain families also wanted either side dead.”

“We'll worry about that when we get there. So.” Romeo placed his palm on the cliff face. It
was a spike of pure crystal, jutting from the ground to the clouds. “Crystalspine peak, here I come!”

The skydancer leapt up, and started to scale the mountain.

Benvolio sat and glared up at Romeo in utter disappointment. At this rate, this was going to
take forever.

“YOU HAVE WINGS FOR GOODNESS SAKE! USE THEM!”

Romeo shouted back down. “I NEED TO MAKE A GOOD IMPRESSION, YOU KNOW? NOT
TAKING THE EASY WAY OUT?”

Benvolio muttered to himself. “She's also going to think that you're stupid for not flying up
there.”

“WHAT? I CAN’T HEAR YOU UP HERE!”

“NOTHING! NOTHING AT ALL.”

For a few moments, there was only the sound of the wind rustling the trees. Benvolio then
looked around in boredom, and saw a white brightly lit room perched at the summit of another crystal spike.

“UM… ROMEO?”

“YES?”

“CAN YOU DESCRIBE WHERE JULIET IS WAITING FOR YOU?”

“WELL, SHE TOLD ME TO LOOK OUT FOR A WHITE BRIGHTLY LIT -“

Benvolio banged his head on the mountain. Doesn’t Romeo have eyes?!

“Oh by name of the Lightweaver ROMEO WRONG MOUNTAIN GOSH DARN IT.”

Juliet sat up on the tower, gazing across the valley. If her calculations were correct, Tybalt
would have left to help gather resources for the clan. Romeo should arrive any minute now, soaring from the sky into her window. She scanned the horizon. Where was he?

“O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name, or, if
thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I’ll no longer be a Capulet.”

“Right fine with me”

Juliet, hearing his voice, quickly looked up and scanned the skies. No one? She looked up to
her roof from her window. He’s not there either! She then looked down.

“How the…”

Romeo was perched on the cliff face. Did he climb all the way up here?!

“With love’s light wings did I o'erperch these walls, for stony limits cannot hold love out.”

Juliet rolled her eyes. As if that explains anything…

“O, wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied?”

“Your poetry is as beautiful as a rotting greatshell.” She rolled her eyes. “Come on up.”

Romeo pushed himself off the wall and flew into her window. So his wings were not
damaged. Why didn’t he use them then?

She turned around and looked in in the eyes. “Alright fine do you want to arrange our
wedding? We talked about this last night. Don’t you go back on your word.”

Romeo nodded. “I will make sure of this. Despite what others might say, there's nothing
wrong with marrying someone one day after they meet. Love should have no boundaries.”

“Thank you Romeo. We'll be a perfect couple. I know it.” She kissed him on the cheek.
“Now go, complete your task, will you darling? We can’t risk Tybalt spotting us. Go, with haste.”

“Sure thing.” Romeo spread his wings, and took off. She looked down as she saw him soar
down the cliff and land next to Benvolio. Hm. Benvolio and Mercutio. Even though Tybalt told her to avoid them, after meeting them she could not see why.

She opened the door to descend from the watchtower. Juliet stumbled back.

Behind the opened the door, a furious Tybalt stood, sword drawn. Nearby, the scavenged
materials he found had been smashed to bits. Tears streamed down his cheeks, his eyes a raging fire.

“Explain.”
