Kurome is a sort of seer. While she can see into the future, what she sees isn't necessarily reliable as she sees many different possible outcomes. Visions can change on a dime. That said, she can glean what is most likely to happen based on inferring from collective possibilities.

Because of this gift of hers, she can often seem like she's not all there. She may appear as though she's daydreaming to those not in the know.

Prior to joining Kuroda-Kai, she had spent a number of years lost. Her previous clan had been sundered. She had drifted from place to place, staying with a clan or two here and there temporarily. She never lingered long, however. A set of visions kept driving her forward, going where the winds took her. As she came across the swamplands, she had an encounter with some hostile Venomblades that nearly cost her life.
