Valia is a dragon of adventure. She has traveled around many parts of Sornieth to seek knowledge of old Clans. During an extended journey within the maze of the Tangled Woods, she came upon an abandoned hold, its glowing marble pillars shattered as though by a great battle.

She happened upon a Greybeak Reaper, tending to the bones in the courtyard of fallen dragons, massive in size. He told her that the bones here lay tangled with the bones of shade beasts, a terrible battle ended here many years ago. Wanting to know more, he took her to various rooms that lay untouched but from age itself. Valia learned that a Clan once lived here, of dragons with a noble purpose. To be a beacon of light in the darkness.

But that light drew in darkness, and eventually it overtook them, killing many of their own. In the torn and dried-blooded note of a dragon she learned that the dragons were leaving with haste after the battle, asking for any of their clanmates who read this to find them.

Overtaken with the urge to find answers, the Greybeak Reaper, named Arcturus, became her guide in the shaded forests. They moved from Clan to Clan, asking questions and trying to track old leads. Eventually, they came to the edge of the forests and found out that a Clan had briefly sheltered the broken dragons here as they made their way for the Southern Icefields. Valia's home.

Arcturus had become invested in the story and journey of this Clan and of Valia's quest, and joined her on their flight south. From there, they came to know of a Clan that had settled in the mountains within an ancient keep. Fort Wolfsbane was known for the grand dragons that lived there, protecting all from the dangers that tried to trickle down to the tundras. An enormous battle wiped out many of the beasts and all of the dragons, leaving the fortress quiet for centuries. It had now been taken up by a Clan who had been seeking new land.

Valia made the dangerous journey to the Cloudscrapes, finding the path that led her to the foot of Fort Wolfsbane. And there she found the lost Clan. Thriving and bustling despite being so far away from most of the icefields' civilization.

The leader greeted her kindly, listening to her adventure and amazed by her tenacity. She offered Valia a place in their Clan as a reward for following their journey. Valia, a dragon who had spent much of her life traveling felt weary for the first time in her life. And so she accepted, happy to have found a place to rest ... for awhile at least.

And awhile turned into For Good. Valia began to be known as Valia the Valiant by her clanmates, earning her keep time and time again by protecting the Clan and keeping the beasts of the mountains at bay. When Valkyrie realized her Clan had begun to grow so large, she arranged to elect a group of Advisers. Valia was one of the first dragons on her list, and many of the villagers agreed, securing her a place on the board of advisers that would ensure the happiness of the Court of Polaris and its inhabitants.

Valia is considered to be next in line for Ruler and Highness if anything were to happen to Valkyrie. Her kind demeanor and willingness to listen to all who come before her make her an excellent leader. She only wants the best for the Court, and is willing to do anything to secure their future.
