Nagareboshi is gifted with kindest heart and clearest mind, which is capable of seeing things no one else does. She's not a prophet, but a dreamer.
Little Pearlcatcher hatched from a three-egg clutch, the last to climb out of her eggshell, while her parent were busy nursing her older brother and sister. The first thing she saw was a garden of seemingly countless flowers, and her first wish was not to call out to her parents, but to count all the colorful elements of this cornucopia. Tiny hatchling crawled a bit further and what she saw were the stars twinkle through the thick canopy of leaves - that was when her father noticed and rushed to her so she won't fall out of the nest. She felt this strong, unbearable desire inside her heart to watch and count those truly countless glimmering lights for all eternity. She couldn't stop staring at the night sky even when her parents were grooming her gently - her eyes sparkled with all the countless stars above. She was named Nagareboshi - a falling star.
Nagareboshi's youth was full of doubts - other dragons of her homeclan didn't appreciate her 'foolish' dreams much, but her father was acting as her best friend, supporting and protecting her - he once told her of the ancient Arcane dragons, his ancestors, who lived in harmony with the stars and their magic, and even knew how to talk with those. Surely one of them or one like them had to know how to count the stars and could teach her. That day, Nagareboshi decided to leave her home in search of one of those elusive creatures, and as she was beyond thankful to her father, she was determined to look and think like him someday.
Nagareboshi headed straight to the Starfall Isles, and it wasn't long until she stumbled upon the Temple of Soul, and, after brief explanation, she was immediately guided to Meloriel. Nagareboshi noted that even being an Elder dragon, Meloriel was very active, cheerful and even a bit dorky - not a stern scholar she always imagined. However, he surely knew a lot about stars, other celestial bodies, space in general and Arcanist, and he was eager to share his knowledge. Nagareboshi settled at her new big clan with ease, only marveling at the diversity of breeds and personalities of dragons who lived here. She was gifted her own Eye of many lenses by her new teacher, so she would see the stars clearly and much, much closer. Melorel was boasting that this very tool was used by Arcanist himself once, obviously lying, but Nagareboshi couldn't treasure it more - she was spending nights watching stars and counting them, marking their locations on starmaps and noting how they change and dissapear. She didn't even understand when she became the most talented, only one official astronomer of the clan, her passion paid off, leaving all the other space nerds of the clan far beyond her.
At the daytime, while her eyes were off the skies, she once noticed Sandro, who was gloomy, mysterious and dangerous as a falling meteor. Never realizing why would everyone be scared of him, she dared to approach and speak up, and surprisingly, he wasn't against it. Sandro turned out to be quite a smart dragon to talk to, all his statements were honest and he was carefully listening to everything Nagareboshi had to say, even when he didn't know how to react to her rambling about constellations and black holes. Their long conversations slowly leaded to romantic stargazings, and then to shy, humble affection. Nagareboshi noticed that other dragons started to avoid her in dread of Sandro, but all she now cares about is their own happiness and their own starry skies.
