Founder. Born in the Wound of the World, Eidolon came of age in the Plaguelands, where life was nasty, cruel and usually short. With his brute strength and intelligence, though, Eidolon not only survived but thrived. He founded a large clan at a prime position on the Rotrock Rim, known simply as the Empire.

But in time, Eidolon grew weary of it all. Each clanmate that perished - each fellow dragon that chose exaltation over the daily struggle for survival in the apocalyptic wasteland - wounded him. What was the point? he wondered. The strong survive, but the weak... There has to be a different way.

One day, he gathered all the hundred-odd members of the Empire and made a fateful announcement: The Empire would be migrating out of the Plaguelands.

Chaos broke out. Most of the Empire was adamantly against the migration. The ensuing Schism split the Empire in two. As it gradually became clear that the two factions could never reach an agreement, Eidolon ultimately decided to leave the Empire with any who were willing to follow him - those bold enough to leave behind all they knew and try a different way of life. It was decided that the Sunbeam Ruins would be where they would refound the Empire. And so the small band of dragons left the Plaguelands; at first running, then flying, soaring into the Light.
