Biography
Hukkunut was the other hatchling saved from an explosion during a battle with a huge sea monster. She was exposed to a low amount of vaporized arcanite during the explosion, and proved sensitive to it; it mutated her wings, making them appear warped, and will always cause her fur to grow in clumps of bizarre coloring.
It also affected her magic. She is able to still summon breezes and winds, but they are capable of passing -through- objects and absorbing portions of their essence. It is possible for her to blend elements together this way, and she often uses this in attempts to create new spell-effects or whole new compounds. The clan has also found it helpful for use in mining the cliffs around their home, extracting arcanite from deep within the stone and combining it into long, beautiful crystals. Many of these are sent to the Observatory as tribute, but some are saved, and are being worked into decorative pillars for the inside of the clan's lair, or into bas-relief wall murals.
Hukkunut has yet to test her abilities on living creatures.
The tundra is a cheerful creature, friendly and outgoing, and her more reserved mate often hangs back and lets her do the talking when they meet strangers. She enjoys traveling, and would jump at the chance to accompany Arao into the Mire to see what lies there. While the two get along well, he has chosen not to take her there. Likely it is to protect her, rather than thinking that she is unworthy of the challenges there, but now and then Hukkunut wonders if she is somehow lacking in ways that other dragons are not.
