Uh-oh, looks like this shimmering cave dweller wandered a little too far from their home lair 299075, snowytetra and now they are off to see the world! If you ever feel the need to exalt, they would really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread. She would be very grateful!

The Beginnings

{04.11.17}
Drip. Drip. Drip.

Endless caverns filled with glittering stones, softly glowing mushrooms, and twisting tunnels that connected them all. Steady drips of water echoed through the caves, broken only by the faintest sound of foot falls on the rocky floors. The caves were home to more than just underground creatures, they we home to a dragon.

The ground rumbles under foot, rocks and stones falling from the ceiling above. This was new, and frightening to the young dragon who moved around her cavern home with concern. What was causing these strange vibrations? As she pondered, the rumbling grew stronger, reaching an apex before a light broke into her earthy home. In all her life underground nothing had matched the brilliance of what poured into her cave. She blinked as her eyes adjusted to the intruding light, curious about what had interrupted the usual routine.

As her head lifted she noticed where the light was entering from, a small hole had broken through the roof of the cavern above. Intrigued by the new presence she began to climb up to the hole, scaling the cavern walls and finding the natural foot holds that formed with the crystals. The hole was just large enough to fit her head through and after a bit of wiggling the ceiling crumbled enough to fit her body up into the new world above.

There were so many colors. So many new things that she had never seen before. This new world was full of new sights and smells, the light coming from the sky reflecting off her shining coat. 'What else will I find' she wonders as the young one begins her journey into the wilds.
