Witch Doctor

Kurloz is the very definition of 'silent but deadly'. He's no assassin, and his skills in sneaking aren't the best, but being mute makes his violent outbursts so much more terrifying when he mauls something without saying a word. He serves as the clan's witch doctor, though nobody dares to get close to him as he doesn't seem to do much "healing", only ripping apart the weary that come to his psychotic aid. His muteness has lead him to be something of an enigma within his clan, his silence not offering much to his clanmates of what he's really thinking. The only real hint to the inner workings of this ominous Imperial is the icy blue stare that pierces your inner workings and his habit of collecting the bones of his meals to decorate his lair, a cave of death for the unsound mind lit only by the dim candles floating among a darkened red mist that reeked of death.

Kurloz has always been mute. He's tried to speak a few times, but it's never worked. Even Kurloz himself doesn't know if it's due to some mental barrier or a physical issue, but to him it matters little as the effects are the same. It was this silence that made Kurloz's early life a struggle. Without a voice, he was often overlooked by his parents simply because his siblings were louder. No matter how he tried to get there attention, it was simply torn away by those with a voice to claim it.

As he grew up, he had to learn how to be self-sufficient. It wasn't as though anyone else would take care of him, with the way he seemed to just fade into the background no matter where he was. All this time he still dared to hope that maybe someone would eventually take notice of the silent Imperial. This hope faded as he approached adulthood, and instead became ambition. He would make others notice him. He made plans to leave the clan of his birth, and bid his time until his actions would be impossible to ignore.

The evening before he left, he slaughtered his family. Those who had failed to see him for so long now saw nothing but a monster, a monster of their creation. It was too late for regrets as their blood soaked into the soft snow. At last, he would be known. Feared, yes, but known. Taking his few earthly possessions with him, he left the bodies of his parents and siblings where they were, growing cold in the frigid evening in the Southern Icefield.

As soon as the deed was done, Kurloz set a course for the Scarred Wasteland. Home of those who would survive despite the odds. He knew he would find his place there, and with any luck whispers of his actions would follow him wherever he went. And if they didn't, he would kill again. It wouldn't have quite the same impact as murdering his own kin, but he was sure that with every death his reputation would grow. No longer would he be the nameless, worthless dragon that no-one saw. He would be noticed, no matter the cost.

A trail of blood and death followed Kurloz as he approached his destination. There had been those who had tried to bring him to justice, and others who simply ignored him. They all died, one no different from the other. When at last he reached the Scarred Wasteland, he was unrecognizable as the dragon who had left the Southern Icefield. He was a killer, and he would not be ignored. He found a clan as soon as he could, and has made sure that they never forget him, whether through his brutal deeds or his imposing presence. Never again would Kurloz be forgotten, his name written in blood across history.
