Irikai The Leader

The word to best describe Irikai.... would be stern.
She was born as a Guardian but changed breed to a Nocturne when they first revealed themselves to Sornieth. her reasoning being that she was curious about this new shape of Dragonkind she had never encountered before.
The first member and founder of the clan. Her Search led her to her then mate Steele who has since moved on to serve the Shadowbinder. She continues to remain and watch over all of the dragons who come and find a home in her niche of the Forum.
Irikai fears few things, but what frightens her most is clan related and personal. She fears failing her clanmates, or loosing them permanently. It is a fear she developed over the years protecting her clan, which is also The Charge she swore she would protect when her Search finally came to an end.
Her claw is stern and admonishes easily but she cares for all of the young who stay in the Clan and the wanderers who join up equally.
She comes across as brash and her appearance is hardly welcoming but the Clan knows she cares (though she has been questioned about some of her decisions before everything played out).
Irikai's favourite pass time is to teach combat tricks to the other Clan members. If its doable, odds are she can tell you in bullet point form while going through the motions how to do it. Many of her tricks were learned during her time as a Guardian and must be readjusted to her new stature as a Nocturne. It is somewhat jarring having to get used to such a light weight as she now sports.
As far as combat goes she hits hard and tries to not be where the return blow is. She is the head of the "glass cannon" unit of the Coli battlers and her durability under extreme situations reflects that.
Maleagant and Kaltenzhan are a touchy subject with her. She wont explain to anyone why she allows any Emperor (TWO BLOODY EMPERORS) to hang around their Lair and interact with the Clan. The entirety of the Clan for that matter are torn by the issue but even that wont sway her sealed lips. Whatever the reason it is either terrible or something she was sworn to secrecy about. Nothing has or likely will, ever make her explain. Any who ask are usually reprimanded and told to give it a rest and leave well enough alone. Lately, it has been noted that she spends time near them, perhaps hoping to coax and explanation from the creatures, or even alter the unknown bargain for the sake of her Clan.
