Shadowstep was the dragon that resided in the land when Strongheart made his decision to raise a clan. As he spoke of his intention, she was easily persuaded and has since put her trust into Strongheart to prove to be the valiant leader she believes him to be.

Shadowstep and Strongheart originally had three children together: Eiry, Spiritwalker, and Spiritspeaker. One is currently a diplomat to another clan, while the Spirit twins serve the Ice Lord directly. She is incredibly proud of her children but, like any kindly mother, is sad to see them go. She knows, however, that their leaving benefits the clan greatly and that all three of them are in positions of honor.

She is Strongheart's right hand, and proves to lead the clan as valiantly as he does when he fails to be around. The dragons of the clan look up to her to be wise female, seeking her when they need guidance or advice. She is all the happier to provide it.
