Amane is a living fossil with a long history. A cunning Veilspun with a nasty streak, one might imagine that once she was gentle and playful like her kin. However, much like the case of the loneliest whale in the world, her kin were unable to read her emotional state and pheromones, resulting in a societal disconnect and her feeling shunned and truly alone. Deciding she would make her own swarm, she once used the ability of her kind to hypnotize and manipulate many dragons, using this in order to further her own goals; killing or debilitating those that she hated, stealing the treasure of her rivals... her list of petty crimes goes on and on. Dissatisfied with this, she pursued the Arcane arts that she was born with as a single, lonely egg in the Starwood Strand, heightening her powers ever further... But all things must come to an end. Captured by blindfolded (or simply blind) Gaolers and with her magic suppressed, she's been in torpor for many a year - until released. An act of mercy by those that had imprisoned her? A cunning escape? She hasn't revealed her secrets yet... but what we do know is that she's much subdued, weakened from her years imprisoned in the biting cold of the Rimebone Stockade. She's quiet, and could come off as resentful and plotting; her eyes are impossible to read. She's typically found with her mate, Yunamori, or with one of the larger dragons in the clan she's gathered, dependent on their warmth to remain wakeful in the safe, sheltered, yet chilly deep-sea cave they dwell within. |
