• Meade could easily sell a deity-age, flea-ridden piece of cloth to anyone for a little less than what's in their pockets at the time. Quick-witted and adept at negotiation, the faceted Spiral was put in charge of sales and material fabrication for marketing excursions in other territories. Meade's Plague heritage was no small thing to overcome at first; those who couldn't see past her scarlet eyes were often wary, and superstition followed her from the Rotrock Rim all the way to the thick mists of the Tangled Wood. She soon found herself indebted to a less-than-honest businesswoman, and all the pride she once arrived with melted away with every objectionable act that put money in her superior's pockets.
• She came to Clan Petrichor through a shady deal perpetuated by Clan Sindarach. A wildclaw named Midas had passed through the Tangled Wood with his party of comrades one bitterly cold day in winter. Meade had been streetside, soaked through her silks and her scales down to her bones. Midas bought her freedom, and with her freedom, she parted ways with Midas, coming to Clan Petrichor to start a new life as an informant, spy, and shady dealer.
