Ohmsett was laid as an egg in the plaguelands, but after her parents died in a raid the nest was left unattended for any scavengers to find. An oportunistic dragon found the eggs and sold them. The egg that would become Ohmsett was sold as a servant to a school of magic in the tangled woods. This school hatches the eggs it would raise as its servant class in special nesting grounds of shadow element in order to imbue the dragon with the aspect of shadow. This makes the dragons less substantial, quiet, and a part of the very shadows themselves. This process is permanent, and is only preformed on servants since light will become more and more painful to these dragons and, as they spend time in the shadows, they will become less and less animate until they are barely ghosts.

Ohmsett has crystals of pure shadows coalesce on her scales, and will often coat not only her pearlcatcher in pearl mucus, but also many of the larger shadow gems on her coat. (according to her theory, regurgitating the mucus into stones gives a physical container for the shadow and slows the process of the shadow element engulfing her life force) Due to her lineage, she has little in terms of breath but attempted to learn all she could about shadow magic as it danced and swirled before her every day. That knowledge, along with the shadow crystals she can channel magic with, allowed her to escape even when all facts told her she would never be able to live in a tower not perpetually cloaked in shadow. Ohmsett is a quiet individual, and uses her unique talents to steal but does not kill or confront: she has made herself quite a fortune. Because her pearlcatcer orb is completely black and seems to dull the light around it, she is outcast from her kind. Her escape from the strong shadow magic in the magic tower seems to have drastically slowed her progression into a shadow wraith. She is never seen in the day and finds even the smallest glimmer of sun painful. Bright lights of non solar origin do not hurt her, but can be physically blinding without her goggles as well as make her excessively uncomfortable. Ohmsett has remarkable hearing and low light vision, and seems to be gaining the power to fade into and seep between shadows: this power worries her....

Has had tons of surprisingly successful children and grandchildren.
