Dante is the fourth-born, and only son, of Queen Lillian and King Aether. He grew up like all his siblings, and like a prince should. He had immeasurable wealth, all the finest things, and was loved by his kingdom. Dante, however, had a bit of a different experience growing up. His sisters spent most of their time inside, learning how to be proper princesses and ladies for the kingdom. In that regard, he had a bit more freedom. He still had lessons, but he wasn't bothered with time wasters of how to curtsy, or how to have brunch. Instead, he spent that time learning outside.

The kingdom nicknames him the "Knight in Shining Armor" for a reason. Out of all his siblings, Dante had the most training with weaponry and in particular excelled with a bow. Though him spending time out among the people was nothing extraordinary, Airan and Vasya did it all the time, Dante was known for particularly enjoying the company of the young ladies in the kingdom. He gained the reputation for being a bit of a tomcat, but he never had any shortage of ladies to dazzle. After all, he was a prince.

Dante also gained a reputation for being a bit brash and foolhardy. He was nicknamed a knight for a reason; He liked filling his time with going incognito around the main city, looking for dragons being wronged, and then righting that situation. Needless to say, Dante was extremely well known for stripping a few years off the royal protectors lives with the stress he caused them. What mattered the most to him, in his younger years, was that the kingdom loved him and saw him as a hero for these things.

Dante developed a fondness for day trips and adventures, and grew a tendency to spend more time out of the castle than he did in it. He wasn't exactly smart with these adventures; He plunged himself into the depths of the Hewn City, or taunted a local band of thieves in a grimy tavern. Dante would never tell his parents, but the amount of near death experiences he has had are at a frightening number. The worst one was what caused him to meet Astra.

He had ventured into the heart of the Hewn City and got attacked by a monster he doesn't quite remember. He passed out, and woke up in the temple Astra lived in, heavily wounded. He convinced her to come to the kingdom, and then stay, and the two have been incredibly close ever since. If the words on the wind are to be believed, Dante would like to marry Astra, but seeing as he is a prince, and she a priestess, it seems highly improbable.

Dante wised up a bit after that. Had her Order not found him, he would have died and his parents would have no clue where he was. If he did go out, he did it with other dragons to reduce the risk. He spent more time around the castle, after that, too. He stopped flirting with death, and being a foolish kid, and instead began to embrace his role as a prince more. He became more socially and politically involved. Dante was perhaps the least affected by the coronation. True, he was hurt his little sister hadn't spoken to him or confided in him, but he didn't much care for the throne. Dante, like all his siblings, wishes Serena would come home, but they all know thats not likely to happen.

Dante is 25 now, and is content to serve as a figurehead for the kingdom. He mostly spends his time being the pretty boy, with the winning smile and charming manners. He enjoys hunting and still ventures out on risky expeditions, but hes much more conscious that there are people who would be hurt if he was hurt. He honed his skills in archery, and is one of the best shots in the kingdom. Being older and wiser, he's much less at risk when he goes out, but he's still careful. There are a lot of dragons who would love to attack a prince.

Realistically, he should be settling down, but he turns down any suitors who come his way. The only girl he gives the time of day is Astra, who he visits at minimum two days a week. Hilariously, some dragons think hes just very religious - which would be true, if Astra was a goddess. He has only divulged to Vasya why he rejects any nobility who tries to woo him, and his sister safeguards this secret with her life. She told him he can marry whomever he wishes, whenever he is ready.

Dante is charming, cool and relaxed. His impulsiveness still shines through at times, but he's reigned in his naivety. He still spends time righting the wrongs he sees in the kingdom, but he now does it through his royal power, instead of with a sword. He has a habit of intervening in things that were going to be presented to Vasya when she held Court. Unlike Vasya, he doesn't have to consider the repercussions of him doling out justice on a grand scale. Dante is a well known gentleman. He's not arrogant, but he has pride and walks with his shoulders squared and chin up. He has morphed into an excellent prince, and will continue to be for a while.
