Glasses or contacts: Glasses, however his eyesight is still somewhat passable without them. Somewhat.

Distinguishing marks: Nothing, really. Just some facial hair.
Predominant features: Those bright eyes that hold many, many dark emotions.
Hair color: Grey; used to be dark brown.
Type of hair: Straight, thin, and light, brittle if improperly cared for but still growing at a decent pace.
Hairstyle: Simply brushed back and out of his face.
Voice: Deep and a little rough, often very inviting and holds a naturally kind tone to it.
Overall attractiveness: His prime is long gone, but he would say he was quite the man when he was younger.

Good personality traits: Caring and considerate, and can hold in his temper if need be. Enjoys knowledge and learning, and will actively seek out information.
Bad personality traits: Manipulative and distant, and has no problem with rationalizing murder in his head.

Character’s greatest joy in life: Learning all that he can, being in libraries, being able to practice magic without any hesitation.

Why? His habit of assuring himself that he is almost untouchable rests with his expansive knowledge on both magic and the world around him. To lose that would completely shut him down.
What single event would most throw this character’s life into complete turmoil? The scenario mentioned above.
