‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ Nobody knows exactly what Shadow's life was like before they came to this clan, except for that his father was a progenitor and that he has had a number of children in the past. One day, they somehow ended up at the clan at the cost of only one treasure.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ Shadow quickly found their place in the clan by making the clan vault his charge. Valuable items are stored within, but most importantly to them, so is treasure and gems. He blocks the entrance with his own armored body, preventing all but the most trusted dragons from entering and taking the treasures within.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ One other dragon regularly visits the vault, and that is the pearlcatcher Soot. Every month she collects and sorts the clan's festival currency and then stores any extras in the vault afterwards. The two otherwise reserved dragons would likely have never met were it not for their jobs being in the same place. After a while of Soot visiting every few weeks at the end of each festival, the two started getting used to each others' presence. Soot stopped by more often just to spend time with them, and Shadow found himself more relaxed in her presence. Over time the two became mates and had hatchlings of their own; this was a new joy for Soot, while Shadow was happy to have a family where he felt safe.
