By Tales

Stretching on her giant mattress, the female Bogsneak known as Sandyclaw gave an exhausted yawn before flopping down once more. As much as she loathed to, however, there were things to be done. Pranking things. Now with a reason to get up, the dragon hauled herself out of her bed and snatched her crown off its place next to her bed, meticulously adjusting it until it fit perfectly on her reptilian head. After all, she was the queen. Of what? Sandy had yet to decide, but she would come up with something- she always did. Shooting a last smirk at the mirror, she dashed off into one of the many underground corridors, and let her enhanced hearing do its work. She picked up tidbits of information from several different caves; personal dens, something or another from the healing room, and some chatter from the food hall. Good, most dragons were asleep. Well, that was good for her. For them, not so much. After all, the opportune time to set up pranks was when said prank-ee was left unawares, and sleeping left a considerable time gap where Sandy could go crazy. And let me tell you, that is not a good thing. She was renowned amongst the clan for her practical jokes, and for many that was both good and bad. Usually the latter. She had already been approached by many to be hired for her work- HIRED!! She could get PAID to be a NUISANCE! With a dark chuckle, the Bogsneak realized that she was liking this clan more and more.
Suddenly, her ears perked, and a slow, evil grin spread across her face. She had, it seemed, just found her newest target. So, without a second thought, she dashed away, a plan of attack already forming in her mind's eye.

Elsewhere...

Flint opened one single, scaley eye and surveyed the area around her. Yes, it was indeed her own lair, and no one had snuck in as of yet. (Or at least, that's what she thought) Honestly, everyone was always trying to steal her stuff! Then again, who could blame them when she was quite frankly the most beautiful and intelligent of all the dragons here? If she really thought about it, none of the other dragons even deserved her train of thought, they were so lowly.
This mindset continued on as she stretched and yawned, moving over to stand in front of her gargantuan mirror.
She smirked at her reflection. Yes, it would seem that she remains the best dragon in the clan, without a doubt. No one could even compare to her, and she would make sure to remind anyone and everyone she saw about that particular fact. Why it's even so inconceivable that they could even think about-
A screech left the giant gold dragon as something scuttled out of the mirror and proceeded to stare right back at her. Frozen, Flint merely stared in mute shock as that thing cocked its head and stared her down with one huge, red eye. Then, it opened its mouth and spoke.

"I AM YOUR REFLECTION. I AM THE CREATURE INSIDE YOU. YOU ARE A MONSTER.
YOU. ARE. ME."

Suddenly, hundreds of the same creature dashed out of the mirror and launched themselves at Flint, as said dragoness let out a bloodcurdling scream that could rival those of a banshee. Dashing from the room and clawing at the little creatures now attached to and/or chasing her, she ran faster than a Wildclaw at top speeds, and that was saying a lot. When approached of the incident at a later date, the gold Guardian would firmly assure the dragon that it was an illusion, yet a small shudder would still worm its way through her tail at the mention of those... things.

Unbeknownst to the Flint, as soon as she left, a dark chuckle echoed throughout the room, and two glowing eyes crinkled up in amusement carefully replaced the mirror to where it should have been, not where it had been temporarily placed during the whole fiasco (against the wall, leaving a space between the actual mirror and the frame).
Without another word, the dragon slunk out of the room, yet before it left, the mirror reflected off of something adorning the intruder.
Was that a...crown?
