Biography
Gloom's pattern, as her mother's, resembled the Plague Rot. It served as a natural defense against predation, for even the mightiest of foes could be crippled by the smallest of pathogens. Did Gloom really harbor the rot? No dragon wished to bite and find out.
Rank: Brood mother
Mate: none
11/14/16 Some of Gloom's favorite memories growing up were playing hide and sneak with her mother. Her mother, despite being a formidable Imperial dragon, was gentle and playful with her kin. She was also as red as the scarred earth. She looked as a natural piece of the terrain, yet with the lifting of her tail or long neck she would surprise Gloom and the other hatchlings. As Gloom got older she realized she too could hide in plain site, and took much joy passing her game on to the newest residents of the nesting ground. To her delight, the young hatchlings soon stopped fearing the surprise and began anticipating it; their resting stance changed from dopey to alert, their reactions from fleeing to fighting. The evolutionary need for organisms to play is so that they may practice important skills in a safe setting. The Cell's nesting grounds were no exception. Survival in the Wasteland demanded training.
