To say that Agony's morals are questionable would be a severe understatement. As a hatchling, Agony had always been a compulsive liar. As he got older, he would push his lies further and fabricate entire stories, going to great lengths to ensure they seemed believable and that his stories matched up. Agony happened upon a Screaming Tickbird one day that simply perched atop his head without a care in the world. He quickly found out about the bird's natural ability to detect lies and rather than try to rid himself of it, he kept it. Through weeks of training he was able to get the bird to respond to subtle commands to perch on top of another's head and even screech or keep quiet on command, essentially creating a fake lie detector. With the help of the bird, he became a "detective", using it to trick others into thinking the host was lying, or that he was telling the truth. He became wealthy by offering his "services", fabricating evidence and using the bird to condemn the innocent. While traveling through the lands, he passed by a circus and met Trauma. They formed a bond and she left the circus, the two becoming a twisted duo. They were both recruited by Neophyte, who took great appreciation in their line of work. The two became interrogators, given permission to whatever it takes to learn the truth, or to get a guilty verdict.
