When Ostich takes off, it's almost impossible for Pip, about the size of one of her toes, to keep up. Many of the dragons feel sorry for the small creature. Others find the sight hilarious.  Although xer species is known for their elusiveness, xe befriended Ostrich on one of her recent journeys. Xe will accompany her every now and then, especially on her longer trips across Sornieth.  Ostrich is as carefree as the winds she ride. She’s always cheerful in spite of circumstances and is open to friends and strangers alike. Ostrich is in charge of gathering items and supplies from other regions. When she left the clan after years of abuse from her mother, Thys told her she was welcome to come back anytime. After a while she would make brief trips back home, visiting for a few days before leaving again. At first, she would just bring back things she thought Thys and the others would like, then she started gathering supplies at Sulfur’s request, and now she’s set up a local courier service for allied clans. She mainly transports small items for clans that are too far away to deliver it themselves, but her business has also gained interest among dragons who want to keep their dealings discrete, away from the records of the official courier dragons. She loves her job. She answers to no one and is free to roam the skies as she wants, when she wants. It also allows her to meet different types of dragons and creatures in places she never even thought existed. In return for her service, she uses ‘a pay what you want’ policy. Normally, she takes her payment in the form of a place to rest for a few nights, supplies, or unique artifacts. Her favorite thing about traveling the lands of Sornieth is finding and learning new cultures. She loves spending time in other clans and tribes learning their different lifestyles and customs. |
