  • Part of the Council... but has absolutely no magical powers.
  • His parents are not the cuddly type. When still very young, he was asked to leave, like his brothers and sisters. However, Ruse was the weakling, the one that couldn't do anything alone, and he knew leaving by his own would be suicide.
  • Fortunatly, he met Anki, his hydra familiar, just a few days after being kicked out of the lair, when he was already starving and exhausted. Anki is a female that had just lost her hatchlings, and she took care of him.
  • They bonded and he returned to the lair stronger, pretending that the impressive magic powers of the hydra were his, illusion Anki gladly complies to. That powers were so impressive, creating a strong magical haze around him, that he was quickly asked to join the Council. After all, "taming" a hydra was an impressive act of magic, right ?
  • Ruse tries his best to keep the act up. He inspires a certain respect and fear, and uses that to keep people away. He is lonely, but that is the cost he is willing to pay to have a calm life.
